Heaven, Hell and the Afterlife
by JW Answers insalvation : "heaven, hell and the afterlife.
"the jehovah's witnesses believe only 144,000 will make it to heaven, they dismiss the concept of a literal hell, and do not believe in the afterlife.
in this new video, i explain from the scriptures who go to heaven, who go to hell and is the afterlife proven in the bible?

To seriously believe in hell you'd need to have a mind so open that your brain is at risk of falling out.
Think about it:
When we feel pain, the nerve endings send a message to our brain. Our brain read this message, recognize it as a warning to take action and we feel pain. If you're dead, your nerve endings (and brain) are switched off. Therefore the inability to feel pain.
If you're in "hell" you would need a physical body. A body that is alive and able to feel pain. Therefore as soon as the nerve endings have burned away you'd feel nothing.
And anyway, what about masochists? They love pain. Hell would be their idea of heaven.
And what about hell... is there carbon and oxygen in hell? Is hell subject to gravity and other laws of physics?

Some thoughts on the message of doom
by JeffT inone of the recent threads on the talk about the hailstone message got me to thinking.
the problem with putting out a message like that is what to do when nothing happens.
i have to think that somebody will be asking that question.

“It’s just like Jonah, Jehovah changed his mind about destroying the world.”
That's actually a good point, I never thought of that, Jeff.
I think it'd be a perfect time for when the bumbling body want to call it a day and disappear. Just put the hailstone message out and do a runner. By the time people figure out whats happened someone will take over, call the previous bumbling body "apostates", pin all the failed prophecies on the old body and start anew.
Jehovah's Real Witnesses... something like that.

Has Politics Hurt Your Friendships?
by minimus inif you want to believe that jehovah’s witnesses have the truth, that’s your right.
if you want to believe in global warming being the most horrific thing we have to face, that’s your right.
have you been adversely affected by political stands and beliefs?

Only via social media. There's an exJW who i made friends with who's turned out to be a huge Trump supporter and has started re-posting/sharing ridiculous claims and global warming "myths" videos.
Other than that he's a nice guy so i've just unfollowed him.

Anyone else get a message from Hanged Man?
by pale.emperor ini dont know why i'd want to argue over something like this.
i've been aware of this theory for years.
as interesting as it is - it's still bullshit.. for future reference, i believe the bible to be a collection of fantasy, myth, real locations and crazy ramblings of psychedelic bloke stuck on patmos.. my reply:.

But then we can find patterns in anything if we look for it.
I could probably find zodiac parallels in Lord Of The Rings but it still doesn't make it anymore true.

The Trinity explained from the Whiteboard
by JW Answers ina lot of people are confused over the teaching of the trinity, some doubt it, some outright deny it, where some can't get their head around it.
the bible supports it through scriptural evidence.
this video explains from the whiteboard the difference between the god of the watchtower to the god in the bible.

The bible is complete bullshit.
Lesson over.

DAFUQ did I do?
I did wonder myself. Apparently those into pseudoscience and fairy tales regard you as a force to be reckoned with.

There’s definitely some Astro theology is the Bible one example is Ezekiel chapter 1 I think, but it’s where he sees god chariot and the 4 living creatures well those creatures are the 4 cardinal points of the zodiac.
I agree. There was also a theory that the life of Jesus perfectly explains the zodiac in order. But what with the bible being bullshit anyway and the zodiac being bullshit upon bullshit i dont give a fuck.
Happy to have intelligent conversation about it, but argue about it? Why would we?

I was on it for months. Quite addictive. I researched my family tree back to 1690 with the help of people who's tree's overlapped with mine.
The trick is to double-check information from the research of others before accepting it as absolute.
This is good advice. Sometimes it's tempting to jump on the first lead you find and want to believe it but check each one thoroughly.
