Jehovah’s witnesses and having kids
by Addison0998 inin my area, a lot of young people don’t want to have kids.
they get married young from 18-22 years old, and think that they know how they’re going to feel the rest of their lives about having children, (which they think will be never).
i respect people who don’t want to have kids, there are good reasons not to, but i think it’s foolish at a young age to think you will never think differently for the rest of your life.

This must be the equivalent of inviting someone to your home for dinner, then presenting them with a bill at the end for the food they've eaten AND the food YOU eaten plus the cost of heating and electricity.

Do elders still ask inactive members to write a letter to disassociating yourself from the Congregation?
by RULES & REGULATIONS indo today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.

"Do you still believe this is Jehovah's chosen organization?"
Wow, what a bold question. Anyone claiming that their org alone is god's one chosen org better have a lot of evidence to back it up.

"We have a spiritual feast prepared for you brothers..." - said at the beginning of every convention.
"Serve where the need is great" - why even talk like that? What not say "serving where needed"?

Yes I was told they were all plant eaters. I was also told that they were created in order to flatten the earth and their dung as a natural fertilizer.
Because, you know, god cant flatten the earth himself nor make the ground fertile on his own. He needs giant lizards to walk around shitting everywhere to do it for him.

First of all, welcome! And it's great that you've found a good decent man for you and your boys.
I developed a severe anxiety disorder. It wasn’t just being anxious all the time. It was severe panic attacks combined with Emetophobia (fear of vomiting or seeing vomit). Looking back now, it all made sense as Emetophobia is about fear of losing control. I was quite ill with this disease as it lead to anorexia. I was afraid to eat too much because I felt a full stomach could cause me to vomit.
THIS! /\ - I had exactly the same thing! I never realized until you said it was probably fear of losing control. The emetophobia vanished when I left the JWs.
You're the second person I've read about this week who's left. This is good news indeed.

Hello Everyone, Another JW Has Left!
by SuperGirl injust want to introduce myself and let you know that this site is working and is a big help to lots of jws with doubts.
i've been lurking for about a year, the first couple of times i was frightened and literally shaking visiting an apostate site but it's the only place i can come to for sanity.
the religion has become a nut house.

Welcome Supergirl!
Nut house is probably the best description I could have thought up too. Glad it's not just us "apostates" that see that. Spending time caring for someones sick grandfather is exactly something Jesus would do.
I look forward to hearing more from you.

As much as I despise the Watchtower society, I have no hatred for individual JWs. Burning down a KH does not make me happy, and I'm sure most of us would agree on that.
We were all like them once, sincerely believing in what they're doing/saying.

My story
by Leeny ini came across this website when i was looking for some emotional/mental support lately as i was summoned by elders to explain someone’s report on me saying “i’m promoting homosexuality”.
i’m inactive, not attending meetings or associating with jw outside of my biological family for almost 2 years now.. yes i am gay (you can judge away) and yes it is in a direct contrast to the scriptures, no arguement about it.. i was brought up in a jw family.
my dad is a typical zealot, he literally talks or thinks about the bible 24/7.

If you’re inactive I wouldn’t bother turning up. They can take you turning up as you showing that you acknowledge their authority.
I wouldn’t give them that pleasure.
Maybe tell your parents you’re not a JW and therefore won’t be attending a JC? I don’t know if that’ll make a difference in how they treat you, some parents are lenient.
