The only reason I like Live is to see a particular performer. Last one I saw was Santana, the music is never as good as a studio cut and a quality turn table and amp. If it was just to hear the music I would rather listen to my stereo.

CLASSICAL music: value ZERO ?? (The Truth That Leads to Eternal LIfe)
by Terry inclassical music: value zero??.
performances are ephemeral.
you hear a live performance - and it's gone.. a recording may preserve that 'in a certain way' but it can't preserve it against other performances of the same thing.

Yes Punk, I saw in all the cong. I was in the elders had groups they would hang with. They would suck up to those elders they liked and would make fun of those that they did not. The picture the cult paints of the elders is almost total bull shit.

Watching the old Rockford files again since the 70s
by mickbobcat infunny but this show has all the current events we have today, nut bar hippie cults, gay issues, and many more and i get to see the old car classics drive around.
anyone ever notice how things do not change all that much?
the big issue is so many idiots mostly left over old far hippies and young idiots who do not know how to tie their own shoe laces are imo much bigger in size than in the 70s.

Every cong. I was ever in had several clicks. They would talk down about the others when they were not around. I never saw a difference in the JW cult than in any other org. The face the cult GB puts on it is a total lie.

There is no heavenly calling, it is a wishful thinking of JWs
by Abraham1 inthen jesus said to his disciples: “truly i say to you that it will be difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of the heavens.
again i say to you, it is easier for a camel to get through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god.” (mathew 19:23, 24, https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/study-bible/books/matthew/19/) for jesus both “kingdom of heaven and kingdom of god” are interchangeable—they are one and the same.
when earth comes again under god’s rulership, earth becomes a “kingdom of heaven.” (mathew 5:3, 5) “those poor in spirit” are defined as those having no self-importance or egoless (mathew 16:24) and “the meek” too are egoless.

One thing that always puzzled me is a woman can be of the anointed. She can not be part of the GB. But after she dies she can be part of the 144k that comes to help destroy the earth and rule with Jesus. What a fucked up cult.

Is Bible prophecy now starting to come true regarding the prelude to the great tribulation?
by Disillusioned JW inis bible prophecy now starting to come true regarding a prelude to the great tribulation?.
full disclosure: i still don't believe in the bible's claims about the existence of the supernatural, even of jehovah god (i'm an atheist and a scientific/philosophical naturalist), but i am asking this question because recent events are starting to seem (to me) to fit well the description of some prophecies in the bible.
consider the following.. several hours ago (on 11-26-2021) as i was about to enter a local fred meyer store of my city (in suburb or small city in the metro area of a large city) a person i know told me that a moment earlier a person left the store in a hurry with a cart load up with unpaid merchandise (i think i was told it was groceries but i don't remember that for sure).

Its sad that some people can be so controlled and brain washed they do what is the opposite of what is for their own best interest. Although I feel they have a large responsibility for following the cult, A large part of the blame must be on the cult itself. Those who benefit from the cult such as the GB and higher ups who do get taken care of in old age and have a sort of pension plan while others are just used till they have no more to give, are at the top of my list of those responsible. The cult IMO was never really super close or loving but what they had in that area has been lost over the years.

A single Bible verse that explains everything—hope even to the disfellowshipped
by Abraham1 in"through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for;.
through the fear of the lord evil is avoided.” (proverb 16:6, niv).
sin can be cancelled [yə·ḵup·par] by acts of goodness such as kindness [bə·ḥe·seḏ] and faithfulness, and sin can be avoided in loving remembrance [ū·ḇə·yir·’aṯ] of god.

You can twist the bible to say almost anything, not to mention its full of bat shit crazy stories. I can not prove god does not exist, but its positive that the bible is not the inerrant word of god. If god is that stupid its game over, if he exists and claims the bible or Koran.
