37 years in it and now last 7 years out of it which feels great.. have memories of being a kid in school in the uk and just hating everything about being the jw kid.
bullied, embarrassed in front of others and self-esteem went into the toilet.wished i was born into a different family.. what angers me is the messaging i would receive at home when i talked about being bullied.

The age of consent is not pulled out of someone rear end anymore. We have child labor laws, we have science that shows that people under the age of 18 are not mentally capable of having a developed or fully developed brain. If the liberals are correct on this than if you are 10 and murder you go to big boy jail. They never think for a second that it cuts both ways. the end times, the last days, this generation were all propagated to make the notion that armageddon was coming soon in are life time and this actually started by these charlatans back in the late 1800's.. so there you have it easy to understand and clarified even more as time has progressed.

I don't think Knorr or Franz were con men. Just like Lett today I think of all the GB Lett is a devout believer. You can not sway him with any facts. He would out and out dismiss it. How Often is 1914 Openly Spoken of at the Meetings?
by Number 6 inas someone who left in 1991 aged 21, one of my overriding memories of growing up in the watchtower was being able to "prove" the end times by referencing 1914.. major change in 95 then again after that.
if i'm being honest i could not even tell you now what the current teaching is.. for those who still attend the meetings, is it still openly spoken about?
i genuinely curious as i wonder if the teaching will be altogher dropped eventually, and one of the easiest ways to achieve that is to stop speaking about it.

The new crazy definition of Generation pushes off the time of the end possibly by 20 years or more. But this is such a crazy definition I really could not gulp it down when they tried to push it in 1995. I could see why they were doing it, the time had run our or was about to run out and they decided to cheat to extend the time line by creating a new definition of generation pulled straight out of their nether regions. But someone in a cult will never see or very rarely see that its insanity to believe in such crazy things. I had one elders wife argue with me that the USA started WW2. Facts are facts but she would not believe anything but what was in that pea brain of hers.

There are different kinds of intelligence. Educated people even scientists can be fooled easily many times. James Randi had several scientists come to him saying they had someone who could prove psychic powers by moving a match box with their mind. Also James Hydrick said he could move pages of a phone book with his mind. He used small focused exhales you can not detect by watching. James put foam light pieces around the phone book to show what he was doing and suddenly he was not able to do the magic. Uri Geller and his spoon bending has been shown to be a fraudulent endeavor yet many rich and famous and educated people refuse to believe the facts. You can be highly educated and be very very ignorant in common sense. I have a sibling that fits this area. They can read something and then recite it back to you a month later verbatim. They fly through classes with top grades with no effort what so ever. But when it comes to common sense they are as dumb as a post. This is why I don't fully buy Global Warming. Or that its the end of the world as some say it is. Just look at the group think following BLM a terrorist group that is by its very nature a racist anti white group. They are afraid to buck the group so follow along. Science is like this many do not want to buck what the group think is. So they just go along.
