Why did the Nazi war criminals, as Germany was losing the war, jump out of uniform and into farmer's clothes?
Did they not wish to have a different standard applied to them than the one attached to their positions and claims?
An Old Testament verse from Zechariah came to mind.
“On that day every prophet will be ashamed of their prophetic vision. They will not put on a prophet’s garment of hair in order to deceive. 5Each will say, ‘I am not a prophet. I am a farmer; the land has been my livelihood since my youth. a ’ 6If someone asks, ‘What are these wounds on your body b ?’ they will answer, ‘The wounds I was given at the house of my friends.’
Sure, Tony is a regular guy, he's not a Nazi. He get's to slip out of his Nazi monthly broadcast uniform and go buy booze like Joe Regular. Or maybe Richy Rich.
We will forget that he claims to be a prophet.
We will forget that he claims obedience till death.
We will forget that he tells us to donate our last penny to Watchtower while he goes to spend it.
We will forget that he belittled us because we wanted to get an education.
We will forget that he claims human god status.
