Enjoyed the Memorial

probably not a popular opinion on here....and haven't been actively attending meetings since 1988....(i know i know a submarine attender) however thoroughly enjoyed attending this evening...was good to see lots of people i remember whilst growing up in this faith, they were genuine and the whole atmosphere was one of love.

sure if i suddenly wanted to become active again and didn't change my lifestyle they would drop me like a bomb.....however i haven't and won't and they didn't and don't.

this works for me.. i cannot demonize the witnesses on what i have seen tonight.

This is interesting. I recently had BIG surgery and I consented to a transfusion if needed to save my life. At the hospital, there was a JW nurse and I successfully avoided any contact with him, but by a hair. I had to discharge kinda early to avoid him.

Now, I had several conversations with another nurse, and this ‘worldly’ nurse said he knew the dub nurse for a long time, and that the dub nurse gave transfusions all the time.

So, it will be interesting to see this play out.

Yes, thanks, I know this.

My point is, I recall something said about a plan, prior the seizure, where Watchtower was activity changing the ownership of the Russian branch into NY’s hands.

But it seems nobody has this info.

I’ve been convinced for some time that the Gibbering Buffoons commanded expansion of JWdom at a rapid pace which was not financially possible to maintain, and hence became indebted.

But the Buffoons believed that Jehoober was going to wisk them to heaven imminently and their creditors would get destroyed, so no need to worry, keep spending and expanding.

When 2008 hit, their creditors called on them and they could not pay, the property that was used for collateral was forced sale.

But the financial wound was much deeper and spending was still quite brisk. Now everything is for sale.

What I recently saw happen nearby to a set of congregations who share a hall, how the watchtower ruthlessly went after a sale in a cash grab, without any shame, tells me there’s a desperate need for cash.

Do old time present day active JW`s genuinely believe in overlapping generations ?

for the life of me i can not come to terms with old timers in the "truth" who could swallow this interpretation of scripture about an overlapping generation .. when jesus spoke about "this generation" .

are their any real bible students among younger ones any more ?.

here are 3 bible scriptures that confirm a generation is approximately 40- 50 years long give or take a few years .. 1. matt:1 :17 abraham born 2016-18 bc jesus born 2 bc approx.
