As far as what the CO talked about to us, I was quite surprised. He never spoke to the purpose, but the intention was clearly to take an excessive amount of cash through customs without declaring it.

It is a matter for speculation as to why. My own speculation based on what he said was that they had a definite purpose for the cash. And they didn’t want any interference.

As far as being dumb as sticks. We all got involved In Watchtology. So some lumber upstairs seems to be a universal.

I feel that the deeper into Watchtology one was, the thicker the lumber.

But if we meet a good lumberjack we will be fine.

well here are a few words that the watchtower / jw`s religion frequently use that do not appear in the bible , either , old testament or the new testament.. organization , sovereignty , reinstatement , governing body .. and in the christian greek scriptures ,the kingdom interlinear that the jw`s published themselves , a word for word translation of the greek to english does not contain the name / word jehovah ......nowhere ..

They deceived the United Nations into believing that the Watchtower was their friend.

They repeated this yearly for a decade until it was discovered and revealed by a reporter at The Guardian UK.

They had their PR dude, Paul Gilles fabricate a letter to the editor of The Guardian and were told they were liars by the reporter Stephen Bates.

They lied to and continue to lie to all 8,000,000 adherents.

They disfellowship anyone who finds out and talks about it, destroying families, till this day.

But it’s unbelievable that they might direct a missionary to bring a wad of cash home with them because some “accountant” ...going on about “money laundering”, which by the way was never suggested, said so?.?.?...

Are you suggesting that I made the whole thing up? That there was really no CO who related the account of a couple of missionaries who failed to declare a large sum of cash they were taking out of the country?

The limits are not per person as some have suggested. Reading from the USA and Canada Customs sites makes that clear.

I gave a link already and the info there is clear for anyone to read who is willing to do the reading.

If you plan to smuggle $9000 and your traveling companion wants to bring $2000 then you are over the limit. You would have to travel separately. Way separately. Do not book flights together and do not sit together and do not have the same last name.

Just because half the money is in your wife’s suitcase and half is in yours doesn’t get you off the hook.

Else, declare the money.

The proof of what I write is abundant.

As far as ‘being a fool’ for believing what the CO said, as Ful insinuates, the CO was well embedded in ‘Watchtology’, as I now call it, and he gave all the details of, which missionaries it was, where they were traveling and the amounts, as well as how the booty was hidden. He told about how Customs officers searched the bags but missed the money.

And as I expressed in an earlier post, he had information about what I did to the Borg, though he didn’t know it was I who did it. That demonstrates to me that he was well imbedded.

Believe me then as an ex-missionary ok? What does a CO know about missionaries, they were and probably are footmen in our eyes. The cash of course is right but only for personal use and I knew any missionaries carrying that amount of money and there were over 30 in our assignments.

And did you declare it? Who gave you the money?

What I am talking about is money arranged by the Branch, not gifts from old friends. And in excess of the legal requirements to declare.

You seem to poo poo the knowledge of a CO. That tells me you were not around the right people and not for long in the Borg.

The particular CO I speak of spilled a piece of info to me in the hallway of our Kingdom Hall not long after an event that I initiated. He had to be close to the ups to know of it.

I won’t mention what I did because it would probably get me in deep doo. But I will say everyone here would be proud to hear I did it. Though some would suggest otherwise, it was a nasty for the Borg.

But this CO, thinking he was taking to a “loyal dub”, related to me what the “evil apostates did”, not realizing or course that he was relating it to the “evil” in person.

In any case, he knew about what I had done not long after I did it. That gave merit to his expressions.

To suggest that a CO is not much more than a ‘window washer’ for the Borg I think is off.

Some disbelief... some justification...

You can take money out of the country, but by law, if you are taking more than $10,000 you MUST declare it.

Customs will actually count the money in front of you in a private room.

If you are even close to $10,000 you are scrutinized. If you have $9950 on you and your traveling companion has $50, they add this.

Do not presume to take $9999 and think you don’t have to declare it. If they find the money they will put in their own $2.00 and haul your ass away.

This is a fact.

As far as what the CO told me concerning the missionaries, you can chose to call BS if you want, but our CO sat right in my living room and related it.

I was PIMO at the time, my wife was PIMI.

I was not surprised ‘per se’ to hear what the CO related. But my ears did perk up.

Amazing the things a CO will blabber about after a good meal and a glass of wine.

The way he related it, this was a common thing, to load up the missionaries with cash for the trip out. He didn’t explain the purpose for the money, just the fact that they smuggled.
