I'm sure that most businesses would prefer employees that are really good at parties and steal whatever they can compared to employees that don't know how to party and don't steal. What a bunch of loaded crap!

Some Jw's are the worst employees
by Foolednomore ini found a company and employed an elder as an underwriter and two ms as sales and marketing.
anyway, this elder will delegate his work to the ms in sales and marketing, so he can go home early.
he knew when he got started that this would be a 10 hour a day job with some saturday.

And some JWs are the best employees. Some are thieves and some aren't. Some cheat on their mates and some don't. I guess they are just people. What a shocker!

It's true that Trump really motivated voters. It just motivated millions more that couldn't stand him, even running against a candidate as uninspiring as Biden. How can so many ex-jw's get so caught up in futile debates about human politics is hard to understand.

Scholarly Study of Witness Digital Competence
by vienne inuncle b passed this article on to me.
it's a quick read.
it seems accurate, but it is one-sided.

Looks like a grad assistant wanted to get a paper done without requiring a lot of effort. 2 of the authors are very likely to be JWs. The first listed author is an assistant professor who may be a witness or could be the grad student's instructor. Maybe article was written to enable WT to use as a reference showing how great everything was

Ukrainian refugees and the Jehovah's Witnesses
by no-zombie ini personally would like to foster a couple of those parent-less kids from ukraine, but i know that my 'full in' witnesses wife would never agree.
for her, they are 'worldly children'; children who are most likely will never become a witness, and so why even consider opening one's heart to them and their suffering.. while her attitude really upsets me, ultimately she is just a product of the organization's teachings and for me, it is just another example of the hypocrisy and coldness of the religion.
you see, this religion is meant to be a christian faith, one that should copy the qualities the jesus himself taught others to display.

Awakes says playing Chess is evil not for Witnesses!
by Witness 007 inawake 73 3/23 p.12 "the spirit of compatition between players can lead to unpleasant circumstances...in some homes tensions linger longer then checkmate.
chess is a game of war a play substitute for the art of war...danger of stirring up compatiton and hostility to one another something the bible warns christians to avoid.
what effect does playing chess have on you is it wholesome?

Lloyd Evans, Philandering & Sex Slaves
by Marbles inthe argument made by le supporters that his philandering is "between him and his wife" is a fallacy.
philandering is a real social problem that affects many families (including mine).
it's pretty apparent now that le has been using his wife and his in-laws to boost his writing career, and now that he has achieved his goals, he will discard them.

Marbles,
I have a child that is also a survivor of CSA. I completely agree with you that these are monstrous crimes. My child still is physically alive, but soul crushed before ever having a chance to really live.
Best wishes to you

The only man in the room - Kennedy 1962
by slimboyfat inin the current situation, it’s worth listening to this podcast about nuclear near misses.
the cuban missile crisis was only one example, but is worth considering.
in 1962 the united states and russia went eyeball to eyeball over russia’s military base in cuba.

Slimboyfat,
I appreciate your intentions, but you state a number of factual errors in your post. It presents a distorted view of JFK, RFK and others involved in the crisis.

Faith-Apostasy-Atheism
by DoubtingThomas ini have been on m any different forums, and only carm is similar to this.. all the rest have rather hypocritical trust in god.. this and carm are for those who apostate to the wtbs and to god.. turned off by the gb, or hypocritical examples in the congregation, they drop worshiping god and their belief in the bible... for they know too much,.
that's why scripture isn't discussed, and jws like me, are demonized.. i am cool with that!
maybe some of you will come to their senses!.

The Corinthian congregation was full of problems but the correct course of action was not to leave it. Likewise in ancient Israel the Kings and priests were usually unfaithful but it was still proper to worship at the temple. Food for thought

Article to discuss or argue over: Buddha, Abraham, Jesus and Muhammed: Larger-than-life historic figures or largely legends?
by AndersonsInfo ini've posted a link to an article that contains important food for thought.
as we search for information to free our minds and hearts of cult-like thinking which entails being able to critically think, we need to ponder research that is available to help us to make important decisions.
we need to allow ourselves to consider other possibilities, something that jw’s are discouraged from doing.

Posting this link is an endorsement that it is worthy of serious consideration. The article is obviously slanted to an agnostic or atheist viewpoint. It will provide further ammunition that you are mentally diseased and your claims about child sexual abuse are consequently highly suspect. Unfortunate in my opinion.
Also, in my opinion, the article is a work of pseudoscience and does not merit any serious consideration. Regardless of your beliefs I think that an honest reader of the Bible can come to no other conclusion than that it stands out as different in comparison to other ancient religious writings.
