  My guess for August WatchTower: GB claims we're in beginning stages of Great Tribulation due to World governments turning on JW's

  the september watchtower has already been released and is being discussed over on reddit.

  some highlights: .

  1. more hitting the flock on total reliance and obedience to god's representatives on earth today, the f&ds (the governing body, of course).

  the wt messages keeps repeating: "support the wt hierarchy no matter what"

  "obey the branch"

  "follow the channel" etc

  they are setting the rank-and-file up for death/pain/imprisonment

  for covid gb said "stay home" since it was about $$$ not love

  for when govt makes wt illegal gb says "keep meeting" (since it's not about love or protecting the rank-and-file)

  jesus said obey the govt

  if govt makes wt illegal, then the rank-and-file should listen to govt

  the bible doesn't say you have to keep meeting in association with wt

  meeting together can be with anyone, like even just your own family

  it just means do what you can to show love, it doesn't mean associating with some wt hierarchy

  during the flood noah stayed home with his family (houseboat)

  gb and wt hierarchy are mean

  they don't care if rank-and-file get hurt

  if they cared they tell them to stop meeting and stop being part of wt

  in an earlier thread another poster asserted that there is no evidence that revelation 3:14 played a part in the 4th controversy that led to the trinity doctrine.

  this was claimed as evidence that the description of jesus as “the beginning of the creation of god” in the verse was not understood to mean that jesus was god’s first creation.

  the scholarly greek–english lexicon of the new testament & other early christian literature 3e (2001) by bauer, arndt, gingrich, and danker, in its latest edition states that “first creation” is indeed the probable meaning of the greek phrase.

  over a thousand years ago some dude broke up the bible into chapter/verse breaks

  but if you step back and read the whole passage around rev. 3:14

  it's not talking about angels or jesus or god

  it's talking about showing love
