I think this Professor has set things up so that if you cannot answer everything then he feels there is no reason to accept evolution. That's not honest and is certainly not a trait one would expect from someone who is a professor...

Perry presents (or rather copy and pastes some else's work...) the we don't know everything therefore we know nothing argument. Utterly pathetic Perry.
I would imagine all scientists would like to know, would sincerely like to know everything but of course they have to work hard to gather information to improve their knowledge instead of behaving like this individual.
Again Perry, educate yourself so you might have a chance of understanding why these arguments you present are moronic.

Evolutionist on their deathbed.
by Nimble duck ini would really like to read the thoughts of an evolutionist as they lie on their deathbed.
their "honest to nogod" thoughts.
their terrors.

What is your motive/objective? - deegee
This duck's motive is simply that it is impotent with regards to offering a constructive critique of opposing views and that it is trying to defend the indefensible. Expect more projection and name calling soon...

..true science..." - Nimble Duck
Whatever that means! I guess it means what most JWs would assert, and that is something that they happen to agree with whilst everything they don't like is pseudoscience...

Perry,
Have you actually read the statement that these scientists are agreeing with? Anyone with an ounce of scientific understanding (I know you are not one of those...) can see that this statement is something every scientist would agree with, even those that accept evolution as fact!
All scientists are sceptical, it comes with the lab coat, and no one thinks that we have all the answers to evolution yet. That statement was designed to deceive and to be abuse. It's just the Discovery Institute doing what they do: Lying for Jesus...
If nothing else, it succinctly demonstrates the deceitfulness of creationists that they twist that statement to mean that these scientists are rejecting evolutionary theory.
Seriously Perry, get an education.

The reports on the news are now saying that officials "hope the death toll does not rise over 100". I think this will be too big for anyone to cover up so hopefully the truth will come out after the enquiry.
On another note the politicians are attacking each other over how their opposite numbers have dealt with this tragedy. It's no wonder that people are so disillusioned with those cretins in politics.

Bret Weinstein: Evergreen State College Racism Controversy
by Simon ingreat discussion, well worth watching.
covers racism, the bubble that some people live in vs the reality that resulted in trumps election and more (and jws get a mention too).. the rubin report (and many of the guests he has on) repeatedly knock it out of the park with sensible, calm and important analysis and commentary on important issues to our society.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-feapcgxnyy.

"I think the bigger problem is the entitlement these college students are displaying." - just fine
I think you are right. They need a dose of the real world so they can get their priorities in order. What is often clear with these incidents on University campuses is that the student leaders are the sorts of people who have had a very sheltered upbringing and their cohorts on the faculty have always been in education.
Having said that, has it ever been different?

"The problem is there is no real consensus on global warming." - Anony Mous
Define consensus. I hear this a lot and it is generally from people who think science is decided by consensus.
"The pro-GW people pull out data from the last 1000 years which indeed shows a significant trend upwards. The anti-GW people pull out data from the last 2M years which shows that this is just a cycle." - Anony Mous
It is the rate of increase that is a problem, not so much the fact of temperature rise. By analysing our atmosphere we can work out where the carbon has come from and prove that the carbon is coming from us burning fossil fuels. By analysing the composition of the atmosphere over periods of thousands of years we can work out what was happening many years in the past and contrast that with today. Long story short, the evidence is there that this is an unnaturally fast rate of increase and the reason is the release of carbon from the geosphere (carbon that was taken into the rocks over millions of years is being released far faster than it can be put back in).
"The fact is that earth has been warmer and is currently still recovering from a very recent ice age (we're still at -3 degrees from the time humans initially came on the scene)." - Anony Mous
It's the rate of increase that is the danger... Our ecosystems have adapted to our current climate conditions over hundreds of thousands of years. If you change those conditions in a few decades then the biosphere cannot adapt quickly enough and we face mass extinctions. It is the rate of change that is the danger. It is the rate of change that is now troubling our world. It is the one thing that Conspiracy theorists never mention...

"The emotional reaction from the "NeverTrumpers" is just ridiculous." - nonjwspouse
Trump has stated his belief that global warming is not caused by human activities despite all the evidence showing he is wrong. This is the leader of America making a statement that flat out contradicts all the evidence of the world's scientists from many avenues of research. Instead of setting an example to follow he has caused the whole world to stop and say WTF... I was willing to give the guy a chance when he came to office (I live in the UK btw) despite all the negative press he was given. However, since then, his own actions have spoken volumes and demonstrated that those opposed to him from the start were right. Evidence based opinions of someone are far removed from emotional kneejerk reactions...
If by bad deal you mean it would cost your country then yes it was bad for you. But then what is the price of a future for our children's children? This is a serious issue and the time for action is very quickly running out. You say it would not do the positive things that I stated but what is not positive about investing in less damaging energy production?
Also, it is about time people realised that we are now living in a global economy. No longer is it acceptable to pool all the world's wealth in a few countries. Name calling people 'Globalists' and using abbreviations like NWO demonstrate nothing other than a signal lack of understanding about this worlds economical evolution.
