I find rubbing mustard in mine is a great help in keeping inquisitive birds at bay, especially in the spring when they are looking for nesting sites.

"I dared to suggest that atheists as well as creationists are sometimes guilty of using the argument from incredulity" - Earnest
You can suggest whatever you like. The illustration you gave was wrong and when you are wrong it will sometimes be pointed out to you...
"It seems I stepped on holy ground and nothing short of a full recantation will appease a certain faction on this board." - Earnest
You were wrong initially. Continuing flogging this dead horse you have brought to the party will get you certain reactions.

#1 - The God we are referring to here is the god of the Bible. We get our information of this thing from the Bible. It is all there in black and white. Why do you need to start pondering what if's? Is it because the black and white god of the Bible is unpalatable?
#2 - I agree with you in the main however there comes a time when we can confidently state something is a fact. Wife complains to police about abuse, Police arrest man and he confesses, man confesses to Cofty because they are friends. There is no question about the abuse accusations being false due to the wife secretly filming events over the previous couple of weeks.
#3 - Not understanding the mind of god is one thing. However the Bible clearly explains what love is, and that god is love etc... In this instance the discussion is around the fact that god does not behave as it should based on what the Bible states about love: 1 - God is love; 2 - Love is this; 3 - God does follow the rules of love; conclusion: God cannot be love and the Bible is full of contradictions and lies.

Cofty gives an example of discovering his friend was beating his wife, not that he suspects abuse based on bruising...
The Bible is clear on what love is. It is clear on what the Christian god is. The Bible is very clear on what this god does. No ambiguity to hide in here...
His point stands, yours fails, again.

"You may believe that you cannot reconcile them. You have no idea whether they are irreconcilable."
^^ Here we see someone who is more interested in winning a debate rather than learning something.
How you, Earnest, can say that allowing the deaths of millions of people is a manifestation of love is beyond me. It is not subjective because the Bible explains clearly what love is and what one must do to love. The action or inactions of this god that is in control over everything demonstrates one way or the other if it is carrying out its own instructions on how to love. It is demonstrable that it does not follow its own rules; this, again, is not subjective.
Whether every single Christian believes this is irrelevant. The only thing that is relevant is that the Bible clearly teaches us what love is (in their eyes), teaches us that god is love, and then demonstrates behaviours by this god that contradict the claim that god is love. Therefore the 'god is love' god does not exist...
"You have no idea whether they are irreconcilable."
We do, for the above reasons...

"None of these are arguments from incredulity." - Earnest
Really? OK well let's apply your reasoning to this:
"Assuming that the universe was not wished into existence by a Genie is an argument from incredulity" - Me
"Also, creationists find it difficult to believe (i.e. are incredulous) that the apparent perfection of organisms is not evidence of a Supreme Designer, and so they assume there is a designer" - You
Also, people find it difficult to believe (i.e. are incredulous) that the apparent wondrous nature of the universe is not evidence of a Genie wishing the universe into being, and so they assume there is a Genie behind it all.
Also, Lasthursdayists find it difficult to believe (i.e. are incredulous) that the universe has existed for so long, and so they assume everything was created last Thursday.
Longs story short Earnest, if you buy into the nonsense spouted by these creationists and you repeat it then you will make yourself look silly.

TRUE SCRIPTURE EXISTS, A LIVING ONE
by venus ini find three categories of people according to the way they display their human qualities—(1) more than humans, (2) less than humans and (3) mixed in those qualities in varying degrees.. when i observe how they are all faring with their choices, it tells me what i should do and what i should not do.
hence my scripture is the mankind and letters are living human beings—present and past.
though it is not possible to see beyond an individual’s birth, i can see the history of nations (collective individuals) beyond their present generation into their past, through many generations which shows how their past deeds contributed to their present reality.

"Interestingly, Michael Behe argues in an open letter to Nature, that assuming that no god was involved in evolution is also an argument from incredulity."
Assuming that the universe was not wished into existence by a Genie is an argument from incredulity.
Assuming that my keys were not left in that silly place by the key demon is an argument from incredulity.
Assuming that everything we see around us did not appear only last Thursday and we only think we've been around for longer is an argument from incredulity.
The fact that something is an argument from incredulity means nothing in and of itself. Perhaps Behe (or any creationist come to that) could do some actual research to back up their claims instead of making up stupid 'just so' stories to tickle the ears of the eager flock of gullible fools who love their echo chambers...

"What a blatant misrepresentation of the truth. The quotes are accurate but incomplete and completely out of context, not what the writers were trying to convey. However, it is convincing to those too lazy or disinterested to check the source material." - Earnest
Which is exactly what the watchtower does whenever they talk about these subjects.
The OP was just copying their methods for the lols...
But you knew that, didn't you...didn't you?

He probably is a wonderful human being. Unfortunately this wonderful human being has been infected by the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses. He will be emotionally damaged and immature in many ways. He can be cured but not by pandering to his beliefs and his wishes.
It will be down to him (and him alone) to chose to leave the JWs and move on without them. It is very unlikely you will be able to do anything directly because he will have been indoctrinated his whole life to see all such attempts at help as Satanic manipulation to lead him away from 'the truth'.
I understand that he is probably afraid of losing all his family and friends but that is the price of leaving the JWs.
1 - If you want to join this cult then be prepared to cut off all ties with your current friends and, to an extent, your family. You will lose freedom of expression and be expected to fulfil a certain role in your husbands life (yes that reads correctly: you play a role in your husbands life).
2 - If you want to leave it all behind then dump him. Tell him you want nothing to do with such a damaging, unnatural cult!
3 - If you want to stay with him on your terms tell him you will be honest with his family about your current relationship (i.e. explaining about your normal healthy relationship) and see where that goes...
If you dump him hard he may just go back to the cult and find condolence in the belief that you were just another worldly woman sent to lead him astray.
If you dump him with love and explain why you want no part of a cult (don't mince your words) he will probably run back to the cult and believe you were just another worldly woman sent to lead him astray but he will also have time to dwell on you words and just maybe sort his head out enough to eventually leave the JWs.
