Here are the links for two global JW crime maps:
http://aawa.co/jw-crime-map/
These maps are useful in debunking the notion that JWs are in a so-called "spiritual paradise".
i ran a search and it seems that this was not posted before, there are 5 pages of criminal cases involving jws.. in the following criminal cases, the watchtower society - jehovah's witnesses religion served as the spiritual element of the perpetrator's and/or other actor's formative environment, or otherwise served as a major influencer of the perpetrator's and/or other actor's behavior.
the following cases are often tragic, and speak for themselves.. http://jwdivorces.bravehost.com/familicide4.html.

According to http://jwemployees.bravehost.com/NewsReports/2015.html:
For decades, the WatchTower Society has repeatedly portrayed its' Jehovah's Witness members as "the most honest people on earth" -- because Jehovah's Witnesses supposedly are members of "the only true religion". The following state and federal employment related criminal and civil court cases are not intended as evidence that Jehovah's Witnesses are more dishonest than other employees, but rather are intended to demonstrate that Jehovah's Witnesses are just as dishonest, or honest, as are other members of the human population -- whether religious or non-religious.
hi everyone.. well, i have some good news.
after having a terrible moment arguing with my mom about the 1914 teaching and all it evolves (she get really upset and i felt great regret for starting the argument) she came to me next day and started talking with a much more open mind, and she talked about a lot of concerns too.. she and my father naivily expressed the wish to write to bethel to ask about 607bc.
i told in all the possible ways it wouldn't work.
If your parents still believe that wt has a monopoly on truth, you might want to ask them to send the letter in their names, and let them face the unloving reality of the cult. They might see things your way and leave with you.-------Dreamerdude
Excellent idea!!!!!

I don't see the point of sites like that............Sure, it shows they are not all perfect but last time I checked they didn't claim they were.--------Simon
When I was in I was told just how superior JWs are to the people in the world and that non-JWs are
bad associationÔ, worldlyÔ people.
This "us" and "them" mentality was used against me to get me to stop participating in extra-curricular activities.
The website info is very useful in helping persons to see that JWs are not morally superior as they claim. They are just like the general population in which you find good and bad.

I would imagine that museums and universities in Israel & Iraq where Babylon was previously sited, can provide answers about Jerusalem's fall to the Babylonians.

I think it's best that you avoid the letter and instead either borrow a history book from a library or purchase a history book that deals with the fall of Jerusalem.
tonight i had an argument with both my parents.
my parents are aware of my feelings towards the organization, and it saddens them because i am their first born son.
they had high expectations of me, my father dreamt of him and i serving together as elders.
.........he'll just say that the Society got better and they no longer make predictions-------Jules
Watchtower 2003 Dec 15 p.15 "Warned of "Things Not Yet Beheld" hints at 2033 / 34 as the next date.
If it's not possible to avoid discussions with your family, perhaps you could ask them to explain a few things like:
- Was God leading the WT during the time when they were making false predictions?
- The "overlapping generation" concept
- What proof they have that God chose the WT as his only earthly organization/earthly channel of communication in 1919?
Hopefully this should get them thinking.
i don't mean for anyone to get into argument over this, i just want to hear what people believe.i hope that no one will mock or argue with someone else about their beliefs, i know that i won't in this topic.. i still believe in a christian god, not what jws believe, but believe that there has to be something after this life.
i am not sure about how armageddon would go, would it be like how evangelicals believe with a rapture or timing or anything, though i still believe in a form of armageddon.
i do think that all good people will go to heaven but i don't believe in a hell.
The deadline for Armageddon has long passed.
Also, Armageddon could have been avoided:
Since it's all about killing humans, if God could almost wipe out everyone human being during the Flood & plans on destroying humans again at Armageddon then why not just destroy Adam & Eve before they had any children and start over again, and keep starting over if necessary, until he got the perfect couple, since it's all about killing humans?
There would be less collateral damage. All of the human suffering, all of the wars and diseases could have been avoided etc etc
But I guess God can only be satisfied if there's some drama.

If Paradise is in heaven why does Jesus need to come again?
If people go to heaven when they die does the world still need to end, does there still need to be a resurrection?
i'm sure i am not the only one to have heard this come out of the mouths of my loved ones.
it's a very painful thing to hear, especially when it comes from the people like your own parents/family.
even after i've been told that, they would say "we'll just continue life without you.

(there is no historical, geological & archaeological evidence to suggest that a global Flood actually occurred)
