It's indeed strange that no one else saw Jesus ascending to heaven except a handful of his disciples.

Even if you are not looking upwards and are looking straight ahead it’s still possible to see an upward motion rising towards to sky. Yet no one else saw Jesus’ ascension only a handful of his disciples did.

It's even stranger how every eye will see Jesus when he returns yet only a handful of his disciples saw him when he was ascending to heaven (Revelation 1:7).

ALSO, if a person claims to be the son of God then most naturally there will have to be supernatural events to convince people of this since anybody can claim to be God's son.

Jesus' ascension to heaven would have been a very easy opportunity for God to capitalize on in order to convince & convert the Jews.

If they weren't interested in being converted, we should at least hear reports about it from the Jews if they were eyewitnesses a part from what is stated in the Bible.

Isn’t it strange that the only people why saw the Jesus guy ascending to heaven after his resurrection were a handful of his disciples? No one else saw.

Apparently people weren’t in the habit of looking up back in the day. Even if you are not looking upwards and are looking straight ahead it’s still possible to see an upward motion rising towards to sky. Yet no one else saw Jesus’ ascension only a handful of his disciples did.

Can you imagine if all those Jews saw Jesus being taken up into heaven? Instant conversion and the stories they would tell! Mission accomplished with ease!

- after all didn’t Jesus say he was sent only to save the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24)

- this would have been the perfect antidote to Jesus' lament that he often longed to gather the children of Israel together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings but they were not willing (Matthew 23:37,38; Luke 13:35)

Imagine if there was a heavenly host with trumpets etc making a big announcement as Jesus ascended into heaven. Imagine the amount of persons that that one occurrence could have converted. This would have been a very easy opportunity for god to let everyone know about his son.

There would have been no need for his disciples to preach after all of that.

Are you a Christian Who Accepts Evolution?

if you identify as a christian but you have accepted that the diversity of life - including humans - resulted from a process of biological evolution could you add your name please?.

just to be clear i am referring to the fact that our physical lineage could literally be traced back all the way to non-human species.. if you like maybe you could comment on why you see not conflict between evolution and your christian faith.. there is a tendency to conflate evolution with atheism.

it would be good to show that this is not the case..

When I was in high school, my Biology teacher who was a Catholic nun, told me that evolution is true.

I of course thought that she was pure evil being an indoctrinated and brainwashed JW at the time.

i remember one of the nights that i found out the truth wasn't the truth, that is after finding out about the united nations, i remember riding my bicycle from like 1am till 5am in the city night.

it was rather chilly, maybe about 55-60 degrees and i was playing pink floyd's dark side of the moon album in my earbuds.

just riding and riding, not really tiring because of the thought that 7 men in brooklyn had duped me, duped me for like 20 plus years.

Why didn't God show you that the truth as JW's know it isn't the truth from the very beginning?

Christians have a lot to be worried about on their death beds.

Mark 3:28-29:

"Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin."

There are literally dozens of interpretations being circulated as to what this "UNFORGIVEABLE SIN" exactly involves. Not knowing its precise definition has generated real terror among many devout Christians.

Since there is no precise definition, a Christian does not know whether or not he/she has committed "the UNFORGIVEABLE SIN " yet, if a Christian commits this sin, they can never be forgiven. They will spend eternity in the torture chambers of Hell.

Many Christians live in fear as they do not know whether or not they have committed "the UNFORGIVEABLE SIN ".
