  Net Neutrality and WTBTS

  i've been following for years the arguments on net neutrality, and after reading one on the "reputable" yahoo news i was thinking of how wtbts could benefit from new "un-neutrality".

  does anyone have any insight???.

  i don't have hate in my heart for the organization that i spent most of my life in, but i have had an awakening.

  luckily, so has my wife, and that way i don't feel so alone.

  Welcome to the board DS, I enjoyed your "Poem" short and to the point, and effective in letting the reader know your thoughts and feelings. You will have many "friends" here that will understand your Journey, as we have all been there and done that, but we have all reached out for a helping hand and I can say this site has helped me. We are all in a different "grade" level, of acceptance and healing. I hope you enjoy your stay here, and also wish that you may be able to mentally wrap your mind around all of this and move on.   I recently trimmed my beard after growing the "Grizzly Adams" over a very busy winter. I've shave the beard off a few times and my daughter especially says, but the wife also says, "why did you shave your beard off?", "it looked so nice". So there.

  Child Abuse must be getting out of hand if they're addressing it...

  i'm referring to the video that was uploaded where they finally mentioned the child abuse issue.

  we all kinda guessed that if they ever addressed it they'd blame it on the media and apostates.

  As several have mentioned, the WTBTS, does not need to lie, they could put an end to this immediately, by showing responsibility for the children in their congregations. They could immediately stop the crap about two witnesses.

  They could instruct the elders this weekend, "Don't call the legal department until you have contacted the police". In this day and age with forensic science, special investigators within the police departments that know the behavior of sexual predators, the two witness rule from Leviticus? is obsolete, and further, there is rarely a second witness in child abuse, that' s how predators roll.

  I had read an article about The Boy Scouts and they turned their organization around within two years, and now they are considered an exemplary organization with more than adequate controls to protect the children. What is so hard about this folks???? Nothing, but with WTBTS, their arrogance will be their demise.

  Interesting that some are commenting about "New Light" that will abolish the two witness rule, and when they do, they will never admit to changing it because they were wrong and the critics were correct. They will just continue to bash the "apostates".

  Governing Body Member Stephan Lett Lies On JW.TV

  i thought it would be important to clearly point in the recent talk by governing body member stephan lett, that he did in fact deliberately lie concerning what he described as lies and false information by apostates, concerning the organization being permissive toward people in the organization who had been involved in pedophilia.

  the truth of the matter is thats exactly what the organization has been doing and perhaps for a long time.

  the recent candace conti law suit where she was awarded 28 million dollars was levied against the wts for its irresponsible behavior by the elders who gave no notification of the accused jonathan kendrick that he had been charged with pedophilia and spent months in jail for his actions .

  I hate liars. I've got a brother who is pathological, narcissists, compulsive, liar, who is in good standing in the congregation and is currently working at War Wick. Oh, the blessings and privileges of lying in Jehovah's Service.

  I think it ballsy to address the apostates "lying" about pediphiles. WTBTS is still in their denial stage, but they are talking about it on their JW network which is addressing it to a point, even though dishonestly. But, perhaps inadvertently, informing people who may not know about it about the situations.

  They are feeling/enjoying the bashing power over the "apostates". As pointed out the news media picked the improprieties up, judges have picked up on it, lawyers have seen the situation for what it is, and all of this group are not "apostates".

  Interestingly, it was an assembly where the speaker just kept on using a hatchet when speaking of apostates, and the hate he displayed was obvious. He mentioned that one mature sister had unknowingly read some material on an "apostate" web site, and it wrecked her faith in a few hours. "The elders have been trying to assist her but she has shipwrecked her faith, by entertaining apostates websites.

  This made me curious to investigate the "lies" with the reasoning, "If we have the truth, how can the lie of an apostate wreck a mature sisters faith in hours?". End of story, I'm out, and consider the WTBTS liars.

  so the bible reading talks about some "good" appointed man who valued the office more than his wife and turned her over to the crowd to be repeatedly raped until she died.. then the sick hoser dismembers her and sends the body parts around the nation.

  later the "faithful" jews from eleven tribes go up to do battle with the one "bad" tribe at god's okay and suffers defeat...twice!

  finally the third time god lets them win.. wt says that we have to realize that women were expendable in those days.

  It's Over Johnny....The Demise of Jehovah's Witnesses

  i think i've mentioned before that from time to time my commute on the bqe takes me past the old factory buildings and the soon to be former headquarters building.

  i was struck the other day with how shabby they've become.

  even 25 columbia heights, still currently occupied, its facade is filthy.

  I agree with a few others' observations, that apathy is a major problem within the ranks of JW's. It appears apathy is affecting C.O.'s, elders, pioneers,etc; people in the "forefront". (A jw verbiage term)

  The recent cash grab from the congregations was a first of its kind. The congregations cash account and how the congregations funded maintenance, repair and replacement, etc has always been the "congregations" responsibility. The individuals' and the congregations' donations have been voluntary, not demanded or outright taken. My wife's family, who are currently active, were talking about the repeated letters from WTBTS asking for money. The family had asked, "Do you think they (WTBTS) are having financial problems?" So it is a matter of discussion just from WT's constant prodding.

  Leaving Brooklyn? I think that the WTBTS had a presence in New York City that was noteworthy with the WATCHTOWER sign with time and temperature to even be mentioned on local tours to people from around the globe. That recognition is being given up for JW.org?

  I agree that there is a retreat, on many fronts; basically a social withdrawal or social isolation. It would seem that there is a calculated "winding down" of the organization, as if "they" are planning on going out of business, while out of the other side of their mouths "Jehovah is speeding things up".

  I have commented before that it seems the WTBTS is "cutting tail" and running away from the "light bearers" they used to be, having a quick fix answer for everything. As Matthew 5:15 says, "No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house..16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

  
  

  What WTBTS will emerge as is yet to be seen, but the glory days are over for the time being.

  I hate getting those calls also, That's why for years I didn't delete the "friends" phone numbers.
