  Things we missed out on :(

  anyone else get really mad sometimes about the fact that we missed out on proms, dances, sports games, being in sports, being in band, being in clubs, or going to college, or even getting good grades since armageddon was always "right around the corner"?

  even if i went to college this year (at age 28), i'd be 10 years behind everyone my age!

  i'm still going to go back but i feel so upset sometimes how far behind my peers i am in just about everything, including in the working world, where i am an entry-level employee with only a high school diploma (thankfully i didn't quit school to pioneer!!

  hope everyone is having a lovely day.

  i ended up here after spending the past few months researching jw, without the blinders on.

  i was a born-in, baptized as a teen, pioneered out of high school for a couple years (turning down a 4 year scholarship).

  so, on sunday i left the meeting and was sitting in my car putting my keys in the ignition, an elder pulled on my door handal and opened up.

  i rolled my eyes, this man is annoying...anyway he asked if i was going to be around wednesday.

  i told him i should be.

  No i haven't but i am worried about her turning back like i did in my first year of leaving the org. One minute i was sure that it was BS and the next minute i was sure that they were the true religion and that i would be destroyed and i would shun everyone who told me otherwise.

  I have realised that this takes time so i'm trying not to crowd her or give her my own opinions.

  However, i really do want to direct her here.

  A little background: She is about 22 and me and another sister had to study with her some time last year. In fact, she was the last study before i left. She's really nice.
