I think you need to reread the book. There's plenty of historical evidence presented there to support a different date for the destruction of Jerusalem and that's the reason why the international archaeological community agrees on a different date from the one defended by the ignorant GB of JWs.

Not really. His conclusions are only that, his interpretation. Not saying it’s not valid. I also don’t reject his view out of spite. I agree with WT interpretation because it makes sense. But we just don’t know for a fact, we can only believe.

Carl Olof just wrote it to argue against the Watchtower Society because he is so arrogant.
Are you proving him wrong with this statement? Are his studies, documents presented and facts, which WTS hasn't contested, wrong? When he presented his findings to the WTS first, was he being arrogant? Why is anyone who thinks differently and proves his conclusions with facts arrogant?

If you haven't done it yet, I suggest you read The Gentile Times Reconsidered by Carl Olof Jonsson. It's really some piece of heavy, profound and precise reading! But I'm sure that those JW defenders here won't bother reading such stuff because the book is about 400 pages that destroy all JW lies! Oh! I forgot, they won't read it because it was written by an apostate who must be shunned because he found out the truth about 1914 and shared that info with the GB in first place. Go figure out why they did that?!

) blog as well as having written this book where he claims he disses the claims of "apostates".. to know what apostates are saying he has to be engaging with them or tuning into websites like this one, contravening the gb's direction not to do so.

as witnesses we always looked forward to the new world but the talks were more about the incoming king and man’s freedom from oppression.
although we looked forward to the good things ,we recognised that initially things may be hard .
we would have to cope with physical work , and lack of many things we were used to today.
Selfishness, greed and materialism has always been the driving force of most Jehovah's Witnesses and that hasn't changed a bit. I could see that right from the beginning even though I tried not to give it too much thought.

we all know that jws consider the wt religion to be "the truth" and refer to it as such.. granted, that phrase is used repeatedly in the literature and from the platform.. but it's obvious that much of what the organization used to require jws to teach house-to-house as important truths--even within our own lifetimes--has been abandoned.
it's been replaced by "new light" and "refined understanding.
what's meant by "the 1914 generation" is a prime example.. in fact, i think it would be hard to find another religion that has changed so many of its teachings, especially in such a short period of time.. so why do jws still believe their religion to be "the truth"?.
