A believer, I don't know about the UN, but what about the ARC? Will they trigger the fulfillment of biblical prophecy in 2017?
*** w08 6/15 p. 9 par. 10 Things From Which We Must Flee ***
Today, billions of humans are involved in various forms of false religion that can be traced back to ancient Babylon. (Gen. 11:6-9) Collectively, those religions are designated as “Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.” (Rev. 17:5) False religion has a long history of supporting the political rulers of this world. Among “the disgusting things” that she bears responsibility for are the many wars that have resulted in hundreds of millions being “slaughtered on the earth.” (Rev. 18:24) Additional “disgusting things” include acts of pedophilia and other forms of sexual immorality committed by clergymen and tolerated by the church authorities. Is it any wonder that Jehovah God will soon rid this earth of false religion?—Rev. 18:8. -

Jehovah's Wonderous Creation - The Guinea Worm
by pale.emperor inyou're not likely to see this in an awake!
magazine, but here goes.
for those that believe in intelligent design please explain this one to me:.

Intriguing stuff pale.emperor!
Two thoughts come to my mind...
According to Christians who embrace biblical doctrine as the final authority, the fall leading to imperfection may have caused degradation, harmful changes/mutations. A very, very cruel concept of course and what a bizarre intention to make it last for 6000+ friggin' years! But hey, who am I? A worm...
From an intelligent design perspective, the identity of the intelligence is unknown, It could be a god/gods, a spirit creature (angel, demon, unknown) or an alien as well. If (seeded) life would have been left on earth long ago (on purpose or by accident), degradation might as well have taken place. Seeking design patterns that indicate intelligence however do not necessarily adress the problem/objection of morality. It would be like saying that the nazi's couldn't have built the V2 because they've killed so many people in concentration camps.

However, under Legal Developments by Region, Australia is not listed.
That's right steve2, Not only nothing regarding ARC, but also not a single word since JW media spokesman J.R. Brown mentioned the case of Candace Conti vs Watchtower in 2012 on what was then called jw.-media.org. They somehow cough "forgot" cough cough to mention that she was awarded 2,8 m dollar in 2015.
It only got worse but the organisation still thrives on the ignorance of the flock.
Dear Christ...how long have they got?

Thanks for sharing. Another life totally wasted. How many personal horror stories will follow?
“They told my parents that when the world ends, those part of Jehovah’s Witness will all live in paradise.”
The religion claims it will “bless obedient people with perfect health and everlasting life in an earthly paradise” should they follow their rules.Perfect health and everlasting life in an earthly paradise? Yes, that sounds great at peoples doors, but why are so many lives ruined on this side of the big A by obsolete policies from that same religion?
Fry watchtower fry!!!
Burn watchtower burn!!!

Geoffrey Jackson, Deuteronomy 18:22
by Spoletta innot sure if this has been commented on, but while reading a discussion, deuteronomy 18:22 was mentioned.
i looked it up, and was struck by its connection to a remark made by geoffrey jackson during his arc testimony.
the gist of the scripture is that if a prophet declares something is from god and it doesn't come true, he is speaking presumptuously, and should not be feared.

Nothing has changed. Watchtower october 1, 1919 p. 297 literally called Russell "one of God's great reformers and prophets." Regarding Deuteronomium 18:22 we know exactly what when wrong with his 1914 predictions... yes, EVERYTHING! The hollow phrase "gentile times" (without any detailed analysis of what actually was predicted) however is still being used over and over and over again by the Watchtower to give the impression as if much of it is still true prophecy. So...
False prophets? Check!
Liars and deceivers? Check check!

Around 100 billion people have died
by Funchback inaccording to some, the earth may have 10 billion people living on it by the end of this century.
there is genuine concern about space and resources.. imagine, then, 100 billion people being resurrected to live on earth.
some jws will argue that not everyone will be resurrected to earth, including 144,000. imagine 50 billion then, assuming that half of the people who ever lived did something so horrific that they aren't deemed worthy to be resurrected.. jws who are lurking and reading this: where are they going to live?

During my bible study I was told that if necessary, Jehovah could always make the earth bigger.
