after fading for roughly a year now there's some good and some bad.
the bad.
it is becoming increasingly difficult to go to meetings.
I like this topic Hadriel. Congratulations so far and yes, I also feel stupid at times . Not born-in, but nevertheless 20 years of indoctrination. My 1st year anniversary of fading will be next month and I'm always interesting in how fellow-faders are doing. We have no family in the borg, but I hope I hope to get one out as well. Would be great!
today at the utrecht international convention in holland there was no "word in spanish" about dissassociation.. "we avoid any contact with dissassociated witnesses.
not only sinners, but in a broader perspective, also inactive witnesses".. there was a lot of noise in the hall direct after that moment.. so, no fading escape in the near future, i expect.. g..
Steel, you wrote:
I thought the shunning for inactive ones was just for people living amoral lifestyles.
I believe that's true, but who will discern where to draw a line? I do not live an immoral life, but I still would scare the hell out of most jw's if they knew (and I can only assume they don't) that I'm attracted to agnosticism instead of organised religion, that I'm listening to heavy metal music, that I've visited a so called "healer" (see my topic "Did I open the gate to the realm of demons?") and that I'm a daily visitor of sites like these. That would make me some kind of philosophic, near-secular and spiritistic apostate, right? Enough reason for some good ol' WT shunning...only motivated by loyal love of course.

Our fast fade has been very succesful (inactive, no meetings), but me and my wife don't mind at all if the shunning will increase. In fact, the initial interest for us during the first months of our fade has already dropped to almost zero. The only ones that still contact me now and then through mail/sms, are two brothers who are kind but also wise enough to avoid questions that might embarass us and subsequently themselves.
So, we don't know what will happen AFTER this convention of reinforced fear and relentless shunning policies. We'll wait and see. I really would like to plant more seeds of TTATT but I also know that every "righteous" JW that will bring my strategy to the attention of the elders, could trigger the first step towards the chopping block of disfellowshipping. Many elderly JW's and long serving born-in families in "my" cong here... vulnerable groups with a high paranoia level. Very tricky! I'll have to focus on the ones who are not yet completely brain dead.
your qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.
in nature amino acids formed to then form dna.
Lol people keep posting though so it's not dying the death that it should hahhahaha xx

Thanks redpill..... But where is your pic..... I am still single too lol
REALLY? REALLY? DO I FINALLY HAVE A DATE?????
No Kate, sorry... but no picture. I'm still in a succesful fade and I'm not ready for a disassociation letter... YET!.
i have argued with several jws who are now being trained to deny the org ever said the end in 75, what is your approach?.
I've always wondered (never actually asked) what 6,000 years of human history actually meant besides the big A coming in 1975? If not related to Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath and a 8th creation day (the 1,000 year paradise), what then is it's possible meaning?
Isn't this by itself proof that it's dangerous to interpret the bible regarding modern day end-time prophecies?
they have made so many strategical mistakes it's hard to keep track.
some changes within the last decade or so that are contributing to declining numbers of jws:.
1. elimination of book study groups, the most informal, enjoyable and sociable of the jw meetings, contributed to loss of sense of community among jws.. 2. policy of consolidating kingdom halls.
Good list sbf. I'd include the new and "approved" type of explanation from the WT March 15, 2015. You know, all the Type/Antitype stuff. I just couldn't believe that so many books and WT articles with deep, spritiual "truths" became obsolete with one devastating stroke of the GB's mighty hand. Together with the Candace Conti case and the bizarre Overlapping Generation doctrine, it really got me thinking, and I mean REALLY... leading right to the refreshing waters of TTATT and my fade six months later.
So glad I don't have to teach that bullshit anymore...
Nice pic!!! There's a lot of chemistry
after jesus fasted for 40 days, he was tempted by a man (not an evil angel) to turn stones into bread, jump from the temple and bow.
the tester was a pharisee of the ruling class.
jehovah's witnesses believe the tester to have been an evil spirit or leader of fallen angels named satan the devil.
Quincemyles, if satan was human or a personification of temptation, who the hell was Jah talking to during the heavenly meetings in the first chapters of Job?
