Not only driving on the "wrong" side of the road but with a stick shift on the wrong side of the driver.
Please tell me the clutch was still with the left foot, though.....
did you drive?
if so, how nerve wracking was it for you?
i'd be terrified i'd stop concentrating for a moment and out of habit make a right turn at a red light into oncoming traffic.

here is the thing: i tried several times to watch the convention...i just couldn't seem to forge ahead with it.
the reason i wanted to was to be able to engage in conversation about it with some of my old friends that communicate by phone that don't know i have disassociated.
i want to be able to slip in seeds of doubt, but at the same time i have to seem a bit current...) so i welcome to know any take outs, commentary, good or bad, or the video plots, etc.
@enoughisenough:
I had seen a couple of youtube videos where he was calling babies enemies of God and my thought was about Jesus saying to allow the little children to come to him...Jesus never considered them enemies. If I had been a parent there with a baby, I would have been crushed. So what does that mean for the parents? Are they to be able to punish the children more or get them baptized earlier so as to "save" them? What thoughts and feelings when viewing that?
I saw that clip. In my opinion it was just Stephen Lett making a point that we are all born sinners, even babies. He just did it in that cringe worthy Stephen Lett way.

i met freddie franz who was born in the 1880’s and many others from the 1880’s.
but as a very small child i remember someone very old aged 106 and that person was born around 1856 which means that he was around people from the 1700’s..
Trivia: The last person verified to have been born in the 1800's was Emma Morano. She died on 15 April, 2017.

My paternal great-grandmother was born in 1886. I have very vague memories of visiting her when i was 4 or 5 years old. This would have been 1977/1978. She died in '78.
I think a more interesting way to phrase the question is did you meet someone born in and able to remember something of the 1800's. My Great Grandmother would qualify. Someone born in 1899 would not.
My grandfather who was born in the 1920's remembered meeting a few elderly Civil War veterans when he was a child.
dear all,.
i nearly met up with brother ted f. the other day.
i say nearly, because i arrived round my mothers house just a few minutes after he left.
Hi Duncan,
This was one of my favorite posts from years ago. Thanks for pushing it back to the top. The 'Great Uncle Jehovah' story and many others you wrote were also great.
