they are still elders today which means they were in their early 30's(which is unheard of for a case of this importance to have inexperienced elders to sit on) on this committee.. without revealing myself, i have never tried(but have wanted to), ask them about their on having to judge a former gb member.. then out of the blue, about a year ago, i was mentioning how hard it is trying to get younger ones to volunteer to one of these elders, and he says"this is nothing compared to to sitting on the committee that had to disfellowship ray franz".

That is not surprising, but it is still messed up!

I wonder how your friend continues on as an elder with the knowledge that he has? It must nag at him!

regarding the new covenant they write.

the governing body sets the scene in the first article by stating how they are like jesus and as humans they are sinless in god's eyes.. then on page 24 they state this.

I was 36 when I started posting here. This weekend I celebrated my 50th birthday!

and i mean celebrated!

it was a cracking barbecue party for around 40 good friends and neighbours as well as my 'never jw' cousins and one of my brothers and his family.. .

drank a bit too much, embarrassed my kids with some 'dad dancing' and laughed until 2 in the morning.

She is Going to Talk to the Elders About My Questions...What Should I Expect?

so one of my in-laws, a born in dub, started asking me questions about the issues i am having with the religion.

so i told her, rather carefully, how i discovered all the child pedophile cases, went over some of the case details, explained it is occurring all over the world, so isn't just some random misunderstanding, but is widespread hiding of child sex u all abuse.

she was horrified.

Her elders will give her some routine answers about imperfect men, waiting on Jehovah, this is God's chosen org. on earth, the light keeps getting brighter, etc. and more than likely, she wil swallow it all as her cult personality regains its footing.
