I may be reading into this wrong but... I would love to hear one day of a meeting being put together on the fly because all the elders had to leave 5 minutes before to help a lost sheep (Brother or Sister)

I mean how loving would it be. Sure the meeting will be put together by ministerial servants and ordinary publishers, but to know the body of elders did as Luke is saying... I would love to hear that story one day. But we all know that would never happen :)

JW Memorial = Black mass

i've heard this before that what jws do is the same as a black mass.

could someone give me a link, book or evidence to support this please..

What is a generation? Matthew 1:17 is pretty clear to me

so we have this ridiculous teaching of an overlapping generation, something the bible clearly does not teach.

if this has been mentioned before i apologize.

but it's interesting that at the start of matthew we go through the genealogy of jesus.

What staggers me is the use of a chart by the GB member David Splain. Now if he needs a chart to convey this teaching to JWs. What would an everyday JW need to explain this to a non JW. It would seem overly confident if a JW thought that they could explain it to a non JW without a chart.

300 books and magazines placed outside The Shard

hi all.. so i got a txt today from a very proud mum claiming that, the jw cart produced 300 book and magazine placements.

mostly from foreign speakers.. the shard is the tallest building in the uk.

this is where the cart was placed.. not a bad day they had really.

It was a video that was viewed by many congregations here in the UK, maybe other counties too I'm not sure.

I believe it was part of the special needs section of the meeting.

Out on Facebook

i am just venting because my sister has put on facebook that i am no longer "in the truth"!

i have kept a very low profile for years and have silently faded.

many witnesses i have bumped into are very friendly towards me, some from other congregations may not even be aware that i dont go anymore.

Post that you were JUST considering coming to a meeting very soon but you felt a bit embarrassed and apprehensive. You had just built up the courage to do it but this has destroyed you forever and you'll never be able to now.
