BBC News: Contaminated blood scandal inquiry announced (Expect Some JW Propaganda Over This!!)

an inquiry will be held into the contaminated blood scandal that left at least 2,400 people dead, the prime minister has confirmed.. it will establish the causes of the "appalling injustice" that took place in the 1970s and 1980s.

nhs patients were given blood products that were infected with diseases, such as hepatitis c and hiv.. families of those who died will be consulted about what form the inquiry should take.. it could be a public hillsborough-style inquiry or a judge-led statutory inquiry, prime minister theresa may confirmed.. the prime minister's spokesman said: "it is a tragedy that has caused immeasurable hardship and pain for all those affected and a full inquiry to establish the truth of what happened is the right course of action to take.. "it is going to be a wide-ranging inquiry.".

They will be rubbing their hands over this one.

But what's the figure of JW's dying because of refusing blood in the first place. Much higher than the figures coming out of this blood scandal. But it's shocking how incompetent the NHS have been over this.

Comparing 1987 to 2017 --- cart witnessing

take a ride with me back to 1987. picture yourself in your town, or city centre.

remember the clothes people wore, the hairstyles etc.... now imagine yourself doing your ministry out on the street, engaging with people, speaking with them, striking up conversations.

now, how would you feel, and what would you say, if you noticed two people appear nearby with a cart.

It's the same with the name JW's. I remember my mum over 20 years ago speaking to an ex brother. I think hes now a born again Christian. When he referred to the witnesses as JW's well hahaha. My mum said "Frank, were not JW's were Jehovah's Witnesses."

Your JW's now and that is shocking that this is something she accepts.

Two witness rule using the other 2 bibles on jw.org

so i was thinking, now jw.org uses two other bible translations/versions on their website.. can we not use the two witness rule regarding certain doctrines.

for example john 1:1 this is absolutely amazing to me that they would have two bibles for jesus being god.

but only one bible, their own translation in support of jesus being a god.

But only one bible, their own translation in support of Jesus being a god. In my eyes that's a win for Jesus being God. Score 2 to 1 in favor, and found on their own website.

This could be done with many other verses that Watchtower has changed, just take them to their own website and show 2 bibles that disagree with what JW's believe.

Now imagine yourself doing your ministry out on the street, engaging with people, speaking with them, striking up conversations. Now, how would you feel, and what would you say, if you noticed two people appear nearby with a cart. They begin to unpack and get it ready. You keep an eye on them as your talking to someone, showing them a scripture from your bible.

You notice they are Christians from a nearby church, promoting their literature. But they are just sat there on the bench. One is wearing sunglasses, they are both facing away from the cart, paying no interest in it whatsoever. How would you back then, and how would other witnesses have reacted to the cart and this couples attempt at preaching?

If Jehovah God was in "Human Form" with his Theocratic Nation on earth in todays climate he would be facing Human rights issues.

where does one start :.

he is guilty of genocide for the attempted and succesful ,killing off other nations not leaving man woman or child alive.. he is guilty of barbarism against women for not living up to his rules or regulations such as cutting off a womans hand for defending her husband in a brawl with another man.. he is guilty of condemning the whole human race for the misdemeanor of the first human pair for eating a fruit he said not to eat ?

If he were human and on earth right now. People would be mad to want anything to do with him, let alone worship him.

I remember an older brother on the coach, as we were going to the British Bethel for a tour. He said we were all selfish hahaha. His wife tried to shush him up. But he was right. We only worship him in order to preserve our lives. Much the same as the people of North Korea do to their leader.

“Tree of good and bad” means what?

if “tree of good and bad” were literal, it would mean adam and eve would know what is “good and bad” only after eating of that tree.

however, even before eating of it, they would think “it is good for us to eat of this tree” which means they are already endowed knowledge of “good and bad.” that means “tree of good and bad” is symbolic of something.. since religious organizations interpret this differently, each reader has to adopt his own conclusion.

for me it looks like this: one thinks of good and bad in relation to himself—if something is beneficial for him he would say it is good for him, and bad for him if it is not beneficial.

Nice post. I personally think putting such a thing there in the first place was wrong. The curiosity would have been too much if not for Adam and Eve, then for someone else. I mean the fruit from that tree was gonna be eat by someone, someday. I just had to.

The fact that God can see into the future too is very disturbing. Knowing that this was going to happen all along.

Good point. The fact that we get wars here on Earth is bad enough. But to know even in Heaven things are kicking off. Now if war really was what we think it to be, then angel and demons would have been fighting. So nobody is good. Even the angels if they were involved in this war.

God of the Old Testament

to those on these forums who are christian and or to those who believe in the god of the old testament; how does one overcome many of the questionable actions god took or allowed to happen in the old testament?.

many if not most of us have heard of criticisms of the god of the old testament.

you can find these criticisms on many websites.. how do you explain to an honest hearted person why god acted the way they did?.

Had God said to the Israelites don't look because I've given these people a chance time and time again and so have to punish them. But come back in an hour and the disabled, young children and the very very old will be hear for you to pick up and look after. Had I read something like that in the bible, I may be open to "God is love" But when I read kill everyone, blah, blah, except those young untouched virgins. Then you know were dealing with sick and twisted men.

Yeah I never thought about that before. Everyone will question eventually. I just think how hes handled it is so cruel. Why take us on this trip just to prove a point. Why not rid Adam and Eve, put his hand up and say "My bad" they screwed up. Let me try this again. I'm sure people and the Angels would love and respect God that much more. But no, billions of lives have to be lost.
