  pope francis has condemned the "atrocities" of child sex abuse and clerical cover-ups in a letter to the world's 1.2bn roman catholics.. the letter to "the people of god" calls for an end to the "culture of death" in the church, addresses failures to deal with abuse and asks for forgiveness.. last week a grand jury report detailed seven decades of abuse in pennsylvania.. the landmark investigation found more than 1,000 identifiable minors had been abused by 300 priests in the us state.. thousands more are thought to have fallen victim.

  The landmark investigation found more than 1,000 identifiable minors had been abused by 300 priests in the US state.

  Thousands more are thought to have fallen victim. The inquiry found evidence of systematic cover-ups by the Church, with many cases now too old for prosecution.

  After the report was made public, the Vatican said the Pope was on the side of victims against "predator" priests.

  i find this alarming because jones was very outspoken and had great guests on discussing topics most other media outlets wouldn't go near.. the fact that many have restricted him access to their medium what does this say on our freedoms of speech?.

  What JWs do right, and what they do wrong.

  so tonight i'm going to be having a chat with my brother and hes asked me what my thought are on the above question.. i could be wrong with what im about to say but i do think the door to door ministry is one thing they are doing right.

  i think the cart work on the other hand is wrong.

  just today i saw two sisters sat next to their cart with people going by.

  I could be wrong with what Im about to say but I do think the door to door ministry is one thing they are doing right. I think the cart work on the other hand is wrong. Just today I saw two sisters sat next to their cart with people going by. But next to them was a man who had set up a table and stand and was speaking to the people, some were listening some were walking past. But he to me was more Christ like than the sisters.

  Was interesting reading this bit. How many times do they mention The Watchtower. Forget what any edition of the WT says or said, what does the bible say. Ezekiel was clear saying it was a vision. Matthew and Luke did not.

  In the past, our publications said that Satan may not have physically taken Jesus to the temple when he tried to tempt him. The Watchtower of March 1, 1961, compared this to when Satan tried to tempt Jesus by showing him all the kingdoms of the world from a high mountain. It said that there is no mountain that is high enough for someone to be able to see all the kingdoms of the world. The Watchtower then said that in the same way, Satan probably did not physically take Jesus to the real temple. However, later articles in The Watchtower said that if Jesus had jumped off the temple, he could have been killed.

  I just don't see it being a vision, when the bible is clear when it's a vision.
