Well done Paradiseseeker. You have certainly done the write thing brother. It can be very hard to make this decision that you have. I just hope your family are loving and kind to you after. But you know it was right to leave. I've been out for over 10 years. I have a 14 year old daughter. I wouldn't want her around this. Raised in this religion most of my life so it's still in my head as it will be yours. But enjoy your life and know we are all here for you.

I finally did it
by paradiseseeker init's done.. during the last month i've been talking with my closest friends about leaving the org and yesterday i finally talked with my parents.. it's been almost 5 months after i said that i would do it, but i think that this extra time has been beneficial.
i've said several times that i would opt for sending a resignation letter, but after talking to my best friends some of them suggested me becoming inactive and blocking my congregation's elders.
i've changed my mind and i will do that because the people that i care the most now know what's going on so they won't be worrying about me not attending the meetings.

8. How should we respond to lies?
8 Satan, “the father of the lie,” uses those under his control to spread lies about Jehovah and about our brothers and sisters. (John 8:44) For instance, apostates publish lies and distort facts about Jehovah’s organization on websites and through television and other media. Those lies are among Satan’s “burning arrows.” (Eph. 6:16) How should we respond if someone confronts us with such lies? We reject them! Why? Because we have faith in Jehovah and we trust our brothers. In fact, we avoid all contact with apostates. We do not allow anyone or anything, including curiosity, to draw us into arguing with them.

If there was once a giant water canopy surrounding the earth. The removal of that would most definitely have affected any future environmental change. Not to forget also the increase in such things as cancer that would have come about due to the increased exposure of UV light that we now face.

They seem to be all excited that a lot of attention in the news right now is about climate change, Greta, Extinction rebellion etc... As you can image they are very smug saying see. The bible was right.
I don't agree with what Extinction rebellion are proposing. But I do hope for massive changes to how we view our planet. I really would love governments around the world to make some incredible changes and show that we can clean up our act and pretty much destroy this scripture which is being read a lot right now on the ministry i bet.

by minimus ini think every congregation has their group that sees everything as a sign that they are god’s chosen people.
if a witness didn’t go to a meeting and a storm came and destroyed their house and killed them, and only the kingdom hall was saved, that was a sign that we should be in jehovah’s house.
if russia persecuted jws , it’s proof we are living in the last days.
