Finished Mystery (1917)... The book that Jesus approved...
by Alfred inso a few months ago, a friend sent me an actual copy of finished mystery which was published in 1917 (not a pdf download... the actual book).
i must say, this was the most disturbing book i have ever had the displeasure of reading.
but i only read it because this was the main publication that was being distributed worldwide when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower in 1918 and i basically wanted to see for myself what jesus saw in the wt that would compel him to choose this religious corporation over all other religious denominations.. anyway, if anyone is interested in knowing the actual contents of this book, here are some bullet points i put together from some of the notes i took as i read the book:.

Oh I get it - Because young children brought up in Christian households grow up trusting -then following- their parents this somehow validates Godism
Or maybe - because these good christian kids go onto university --this somehow proves Godism
Hmmmm
Maybe because there is a list of academic Hindu scientists saying Brahma created the universe we should subscribe to this view -
Or maybe we should just accept that the bible describes a violent, jealous and racist supreme being that belongs to an ancient barbaric uneducated era.....

How can you say that Jeffro! Those EVIL koalas had to be slaughtered! And those panda bears... did they regularly praise God? (Gen6:7)

I think the problem your up against Perry is that most people on this forum have actually read the book and realise its a crock of @$#@.
Maybe you should campaign in countries where information is not so readily available and you may get a better growth rate in followers--- thats what Watchtower do

Agreed Landy -
I am atheist -No 'God'- I do not believe in some 'super judge' communicating with man through [imaginary or crazy] individuals ---- but other designers -not wanting worship--involved with earth macro issues ?? not so sure --
To quote Carl Sagan:"Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual."
if science confirms other universes-which is plausible mathematically- with different life forms - as a number of prominent astrophysicists are saying - I'll be happy
If science proves there is definitely no other life forms in the universe that had an impact on our development I will also accept this.
and to quote Tom DeLonge in 'Young London' "I have a sense that we will be alright"

I'm not saying they are necessary but not ruling it out because I cannot categorically say one way or the other...
just like where did energy come from
thereare lots of questions religion and current discoveries don't answer yet so I wouldn't push my barrow as the only one...
Im anti theist but not anti design myself... but hey it's just a concept that makes sense to me at this time...
it's cool to be able to have our own views without having to subscribe to someone elses hey... FRREEEDOM

I dont understand why its an ultimatum - Bible God is creator OR no intervention evolution. What about designers - not wanting worship --not deities ---just designers ---eg the coastline designer in hitchhikers guide - I know its a fictional movie but the concept is cool---- I would be open to there being designers- even millions of them ---just not barbaric, murderous - Gods.

That is tooo funny. One can hope that in the not so distant future a convention will feature the theme "Can you turn the lights out when you leave"
