  Can you ever see a time when Govt`s of this world will attempt to abolish all religions ?

  we are now in the 21st century of our common era with its insights into the potential of what can be achieved in the near future to benefit mankind for years to come .. the co-operation of governments around the world on so many levels has never been better than it is today and it is at least encouraging to see this .. whether it has to do with the climate , the environment ,food production ,safe water for all ,and the better health for all in the near future, and in the future space exploration.

  however the problem today is still religion !

  in its many extreme forms that divides us in no ways that politics divide us .. politicians learn how to compromise and work with their opponents for the greater good ,whereas religions don`t.. religions divide humans like no politicians ever did well not to the extremes religions will go anyway.. is their going to come a time in history when governments politicians say enough is enough and try attempt to abolish religion ?.

  I was reading Revelation, and, spoiler alert, found some crazy things.

  Anyway, it says that, as we all know, 'the beast is the eight king, the beast and the ten horns (the kings) are gonna receive authority for one hour with the beast, the beast and the ten horns are gonna hate and destroy Babylon the Great, eating her flesh and burning her with fire in just one hour, leaving her naked and ruined'.

  On a contradictory note it also says that 'the kings of the earth will weep and mourn over... Babylon the Great destruction'. Is it repentance over the hour they had with the beast? WT never have dare to explain this.

  By the way, as it says there, it is not abolishing religion it's destruction.

  Lot's of scholars say that this applied to Rome, so don't worry so much.

  What Do You Think Will Be The Next Big Change In The Watchtower?

  i think there will be a change in the 144000 belief.

  too many witnesses think they have a heavenly hope.

  maybe 1914 will be discarded too.. what is your watchtower prediction?

  Changes at WT land?

  Getting rid of regular preaching.... let's say, stop bothering homeowners in a regular basis...and make a big campaign only by Commemoration time. All duds in good standing should participate, that means less paperwork. Concentrate efforts in all the rank and file, make the thing less rigid and more social. Tell them you're gonna testify by living an exemplary Christian Life.

  Maybe by 2075, if they still around.

  Don't give them ideas BTW.

  the russians are such idiots planting evidence....and quarrelling with the neutral and sheepish jw land...and of course inflamating their persecution complex.

  Maybe the conception of 'God's failure' is a problem, you know, because of the Western civilization and the more or less Christianity it has. Other's cultures thoughts about God are very different. Maybe we should just think how to make a better world in this vast universe. Maybe God just like to play golf.

  according to the pope that darn old devil is attacking the catholic church.

  i am sure when the dubs see this news they will get all excited and see it as the start of the final attack on false religion.

  naturally they will ignore all their mounting in house problems of the same type of sexual abuse and cover up.

  For the feverish and indoctrinated JW mind this could be the sign. There's a California victim too who is suing the Vatican so as the names of the worlwide abusers priests be released. Just imagine the cascade of lawsuits that are gonna follow. So they are probably gonna claim : "the political powers as the beast are attacking Babylon the Great...."

  What changes would stabilize JW membership?

  i've seen many topics about how things are changing or might be changing in jw doctrine/culture.

  some have extrapolated how those changes would result in declining jw membership.

  i'm curious to know what changes others think would stabilize those numbers.

  Proclaim that the paradise has arrived! Then do the house to house trying not to get any home more like one or twice a year, a.k.a don't bother people. Be more social to keep the bonds of the flock together, made a festival, bingos, potlucks, a place for the little ones. But, wait, with all that two or three congs in one KH that's a dream.

  They said "we do not try to find a symbolic meaning or future fullfillment in every Bible account" back in ws 3/2015, when they were talking about types and antitypes. So I agree, 1914 is gonna to begin to disappear from their 'up to date' publications. It's maybe the last Russellian thing.
