i am active as a pimo and my wife is pimi....much of our personal conversation and conversation with others in jw land focuses on how things will play out for jw.org in the next 12-24 months.

i overheard mrs eyeslice listening to '2021 governing body update 3' yesterday.
apparently, they have started ditching foreign language groups and congregations as these weren't exactly roping anyone in.
of course there is a positive spin on all this - '4,000 plus elders freed up to serve in local language congregations' and of course there has been immensely positive feedback from various branches about the benefits of this.. i suspect though there will be an awful lot of elders who were serving as king pins in these congregations who are going to have their noses put out by going back to local language congregations where they will barely be used.
Under that logic, the next GB generation have a perfect reason to stop or redesign preaching altogether because if there are no more people interested in those biblical studies........let us redirect our efforts to something else.
whether they go back to door-to-door or not, what will be different?

Ohhh...that's a good one. Let's see....there is no biblical justification about all those Kingdom Halls...we are gonna use the Assembly Halls instead...like you know, megachurches. Meet over there once a month beside regular assemblies, of course. And preaching? Do it a couple of times a year, in special campaigns. Simplification, simplification.

So it should take 1914 plus 119 years. That is 2033, bingo.

I think a computer shouldn't be used, is better like in TD state where there is a paper trail, like Canada, that allow to recount easily if it is necessary.
Someone was floating the idea that in the future people could vote using their phone. It's a terrible idea, like a computer anything digital could be hacked.
By the way, if you are able to vote and don't do that, you should pay a fine like $ 50. Democracy die in people's apathy.
