Christians and Atheists have something in common. Christians are atheists to Zeus, Thor, Odin, Osiris, Ra and Molech. Atheists don't believe in those god's either...they just believe in one less god than Christians. -

Would a loving creator give humans the gift of free will?
by Heisenberg inthey say ignorance is bliss... well, i wish that god did not give adam free will.
i am ok to not have free will if it means i will live forever in perfect paradisiac conditions.it has been explained that free will is a gift from god.

James...show me one scripture that refers to those commandments as the "10 commandments."
The term "10 commandments" is a colloquialism. The commandments colloquially referred to as "The Ten Commandments" are a part of the Mosaic Law.
I assume that since you think we should follow the 10 commandments, we should observe the Sabbath? Because that was one of the commandments.

A sincere message to those from the organisation monitoring my posts....
by stuckinarut2 inso, i know there are some from my congregation or from bethel who monitor my posts..... maybe you're looking for something to catch me out?.
just a question: rather than trying to find fault with me, have you stopped and looked into the issues or facts about the organisation that caused me to come to a place like this forum??.
facts are there for anyone to find nowadays....one just has to be willing to pull their head out of the sand.....

God gives solid evidence to people to experience so they can put their mind at ease and have hope -at least that is what I have personally experienced and I am not any more special than anyone.
That's great! Can you be more specific about the nature of that evidence?

neat blue dog: I know personally (in real life) one poster on here that is having his account monitored. They're looking to find proof that it is in fact him so he can be dealt with. -

I feel like I'm in a limbo as to what to believe.
You have to be okay with saying, "I don't know." JW's are raised to believe that all of life's complicated questions have answers in the religion. But, answers to questions must have evidence to back them up. If there is no evidence, you can't know if the answer is right or wrong.
So, I'm okay with, "I don't know." I think it's humble to admit that you don't know something instead of arrogantly claiming that your small group of people have the answer, and that you just "have to have faith" that their answer is the right one.
