Christadelphian
by Billy1000 inmy name is stephen and i am new to the forum.
i am a christadelphian and through my discussions with fellow members of my ecclesia it has inspired me to reach out to other religions to find out exactly what others believe to enhance my own faith and further bring me closer to our heavenly father.
in no way do i mean disrespect if it has been caused.

Another one bites the dust...
by StarTrekAngel inso despite glimpses of hope here and there, the wife is just not seeing this cult for what it is.. so who is the one the bit the dust?
i've not been feeling so well lately.
a bit of lightheadedness.

For your own health and well-being, you need to stop going to the meetings. Let her go alone.
She'll try to guilt you at first. But I bet she eventually starts justifying staying home herself.
I'm going to be blunt here.
JW's justify staying in the organization by saying that even though there are problems, it's the closest thing to the truth. They're afraid of God (a fantasy), afraid of not seeing loved ones again (another fantasy). If you still believe in God, you're feeding her fantasy and her hope, and she'll never let go. She might become weak and somewhat inactive, but I doubt she'll ever completely leave the cult and will likely feel guilty the rest of her life if she does become inactive.
If you wanna believe in God, fine. But realize that if you believe in that big bully in the sky, the organization has a lot of emotional leverage over you and your loved ones.

Circumcision and Jehovah's Witnesses - a personal account with research
by PrimateDave ini wrote this article to post on this forum because of the pain that i felt at one time.
i know that i can never get any acknowledgment from the watchtower bible and tract society because they could never admit that infant male circumcision is mutilation and abuse.
if for some reason some of you believe with all your heart that circumcision is a good thing, i would request that you read this with an open mind.

A great suggestion from a current Bethelite on the chopping block
by Gilbeath Haaraloth ina very close friend of mine has gotten his letter.
although he was planning to leave willingly, he told me that he can't help but feel a sense of being stabbed in the back by a bunch of self righteous traitors.
he gave tours for years, always telling the visitors "this is the best way of life, i would never change anything here and i'll never regret making this decision to come here.

I do agree about the male circumcisions, though.
It's BS.

Interesting quote in the video description:
The Watchtower, August 15, 1994: "In stark contrast, news reports have time and again revealed many of the clergy in some lands to be pedophiles, immoral swindlers, and frauds. Their works of the flesh and their extravagant life-styles are manifest for all to see. One popular songwriter expressed it well in his song entitled 'Would Jesus Wear a Rolex [a very expensive gold watch] on His Television Show?'"

Did you get " Counseled " about the Music you Listened to While you were a JW ?
by flipper infrom the time i was a small boy - i loved rock n' roll music.
beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, hendrix.
i started getting slighted for the music i listened to as i lay in my bedroom listening on headphones to led zeppelin's song " black dog " at age 14 with my elder dad looking suspiciously at me as i'm rocking out .

My parents let me listen to Led Zeppelin...but counseled me about listening to Metallica.
I was able to listen to Hendrix....but not Ozzy.
I was allowed to listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn....but Velvet Revolver was out of the question.
My crew leader in Bethel counseled me about listening to The Doors because "Break on Through (to the Other Side)" was supposedly written by the Demons and it was about the flood.
