The God of the Bible, on the other hand, creates spirit beings, he talks, he writes, he kills, creates, destroys, parts oceans and impregnates virgins.

Shouldn't it be pretty easy to prove that a God that does all those things exists? Should you have to resort to comparing a being that does all those things to an emotion in order to prove he exists? Wouldn't there be more conclusive evidence of him if he really did all those things?

What does that say about God that he can't be proven conclusively?

This most powerful being in existence, creator of all life, all knowing, all wise, almighty, can't be proven conclusively.

I don't feel it was a "loaded" thread.

There either is evidence or there isn't.

The fact that some think it's a loaded question perhaps shows their lack of evidence to begin with.

i never thought i would admit it, but i don't.

i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.

as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

No, but what god does or allows DOES prove whether he deserves our worship.

Even if I believed God existed, I wouldn't worship him.
