  articles such at "100 years of kingdom rule" in which jehovah has 'in a sense' begun ruling as king, and jesus in a sense was made king.

  even though the kingdom hasn't actually come.

  it's not clear if the 1,000 year reign has began or not, if so only 900 years left of jesus rule?

  If only this "Governing Body" allowed themselved to be questioned by outsiders.

  Where do they get their information? How do they know this is "truth"?

  They are so damn insulated. They have no accountability.

  4 Letters from the Branch read tonight, no warning from this site

  tonight at our meeting we had 4 letters from "the branch" read at our meeting.

  i was caught off guard since we usually have an advance warning when these letters are going to be read.

  is the watchtower getting better at hiding these letters?.

  i'm still in shock that they printed an article basically saying its time to celebrate 100 years of jesus doing nothing..

  Since most JW's HATE giving talks and doing meeting parts, why does the Watchtower Society still require it?

  i loathed giving talks and doing meeting parts.

  i dreaded all assignments.

  i was intelligent enough and always did a good job, but all my jw life (born in to mid-30's) i enjoyed giving talks about as much as a visit to the dentist.. i am sure that 90% of all jw's similarly dislike it.

  Let's assume the Governing Body and any or most others taking a leadership roll in the Organization believe that it is truly God's Organization.

  They believe Matthew 28:19,20 applies literally and exclusively to all Jehovah's Witnesses.

  They believe anything outside of the Organization is ultimately influenced by "the ruler of the authority of the air" (Eph 2:2).

  Naturally, they believe they need to educate JW's to do this preaching, to improve and be effective, to educate men to eventually be able to take the lead in different areas. Where else will they get this education?

  From the outside looking in, we can see that these are tactics related to controlling the mind. But from within, they see controlling the mind with the teachings of God, which of course only they have correct, as a good thing.

  Since I believe those involved with the religion think it is truly God's Organization, as most of us did at one time, they see the efforts to control their thoughts as a good thing, as a protection.

  Even Steve Hassan said in his book that mind control is used all of the time, sometimes for good too, we use it to try and change our own bad habits, we us it to keep our kids busy and hopefully out of trouble.

  dear friends,.

  it has been a long time since i have posted.

  time heals much pain, and finally, my family and i have been able to move on with our life outside of jw land.. many of you became our friends, our support system, and you know very well our exit story...we were labeled, slandered and disfellowshipped for having questions regarding the date 607. we sent out letters exposing the elders and circuit overseer to over 200 families.

  I have the app on Android device, I think it is well done. Large, over 100MB. It has been updated twice since its release last monday but mine doesn't show the Internlinear.

  Another Revised NWT Thread - subtly sowing seeds of doubt with chart

  pages 1744 thru 1746 feature a chart of the kings of the southern kingdom, ending with zedekiah in 607.. praise the new bible and all of the teaching aids .... draw attention to kings list and how convenient that is ... but, strangely, i decided to look up information in an encyclopedia about the different kings, and the dates are not the same ... so i checked a couple of sources and they are all different than the chart in the bible .... why would that be?.

  The five non-JW sources of chronolgy are similar, especially consistent from Manasseh through Zedekiah. Why is the Watchtower so different? Where do they get their dates? What historical references do they use?

  You would think that this would at least make a thinking JW want a reasonable answer.
