About Lot, remember that the story is according to HIM. The daughters' names aren't even used so of course no one asked their version of the story.
Lot disappears into the mountains for awhile then comes back with two pregnant daughters. He has to say something but can't just admit "Oh yeah, I raped both of them until they got pregnant..."
So, he does the usual thing child rapists do... says it was their idea, they seduced him, they wanted it, he had no choice but to go along, yada yada yada.
Whether Lot knew or didn't know because he was drunk is not an issue. He knew because he was the aggressor, not them. I'd buy that he was drunk but that's probably what added to him deciding to rape his daughters. But them conspiring together and consenting to having sex with him? Bull. Shit. He raped his daughters and then blamed them for it.
Since he was already part of this elaborate story of the Hebrew god saving him while burning the rest of the city (yeah, I'm sure all that happened), of course whoever wrote all that had to go along with it, or was even the one who invented the story in the first place. How do you say that your god destroyed a woman for looking back on her comfortable home but let a child rapist live?
Anyway, back to the point I was making about Lloyd... it's not an "either-or" situation. "Either you live by the bible's moral code or you're birds of a feather with Lloyd." Sorry but no, there's a whole range of middle ground being overlooked. Lots of ex JWs disagree about waiting for marriage to have sex and have no problem about homosexuals, but I personally would kick Lloyd in the balls for taking advantage of prostitutes especially while married and especially in Thailand.
