  And did he ever give that promised Ted Talk? Of course not. Maybe he found out they don't pay their speakers and not everyone who speaks at their conferences is included in their Ted Talk videos. And they weren't going to let him talk any longer than anyone else, and god forbid he need to keep his ramblings short and sweet. We all know it's not about presenting information, it's about being famous and there was no guarantee of that so why put in the effort, as far as he's concerned. Lying sack of shit.

  IMHO Lloyd needs to take a step back and regroup, start from scratch... except I don't think he has the attention span or smarts to do it. That AAWA guy got his website started those years ago, and over the years he's just thrown things at the fridge to see what sticks. He's been lucky with the YT channel and book and hounding people in bigger circles (Remini, etc) for attention but that's over now. His videos might hit 8K views, he's lost his footing for this next book he's supposedly writing, and he doesn't have the talent needed to rebrand himself properly (seriously, WTF was with that Mormon video series? "God's buffet"? Sheesh)

  I think it's obvious he's floundering, flailing around trying to get an audience. Any person with a clue would realize they need to rework their public image about now, but I imagine he only wants to do the fun stuff of writing and blathering away in front of the camera. All that boring nonsense of building a website, setting goals and making a plan, getting organized, retooling his channel... meh. That's for someone else. He has lobster buns and karaoke to get to.

  Since I know you're still reading Lloyd, be sure to put a fork on your next shopping list... then stick it in you, you're done.

  Did he really think that his exjw videos would support him financially right on into old age?

  I'm sure he thought he'd branch out into debunking religions like Scientology and Mormonism and then more mainstream religions, while becoming this great atheist philosopher (again, saying that as a fellow atheist).

  He pictures himself on the same plane as Richard Dawkins and probably thought he'd be on the news whenever someone needs a comment about religion, doing talk shows and podcasts, sharing his great righteous wisdom, selling his books, growing his YouTube channel into millions of subscribers, everyone admiring him for how smart he is (because no one else has ever figured out that the flood of Noah's day just isn't logical... thank you Lloyd for Lloydsplaining that to us children).

  You can tell he really thought he would take off as a brand onto himself, he literally wears t-shirts with stupid slogans from his channel. "Tibor is Gracious." WTF? What person walking down the street would have any clue what that means, or care?
  

  it rarely occurs to fame-hungry narcissists like him that there is any end game or shelf life for them. They really think they'll just keep getting bigger and bigger.

  And you know he'll just start going on about how his activism is the only right way to do things, criticizing "aggressive" protests while basically doing a one-on-one protest. I mean, which is worse, standing off to the side holding a sign or confronting someone directly and putting them on the defensive?

  Besides, what does he think he's going to accomplish here, wake people up individually? We already know the WT uses double talk and lies so why go undercover with one JW at a time? Just pointless soundbites to use as fodder for his YT channel.

  Which is what make his claim that the WTS "tampered with him" so bizarre - it's not like he ever lived by JW rules.

  He keeps presenting this argument that if he wasn't raised in the WT, he would have a fulfilling sex life and not need to sext while married and use prostitutes. Well, 2 things wrong with that:

  1. Lloyd's ugliness inside and out would hinder him having a good relationship with anyone, WT or not. He's narcissistic and self-absorbed to the extreme, bullies people, needs to always be right, a moocher, an attention seeker, and lazy. He also has zero self-control and the emotional maturity of a toddler, and doesn't seem to take an interest in anything around him (art, books, science, history, culture, etc.) unless it's about him, the only exception I see being his obsession with Star Wars.

  What woman wouldn't want to hitch her wagon to that star?

  Especially "worldly" women who have their choice of men, instead of just needing to pick a guy from the small dating pool in their circuit.

  "Worldly" women also don't need to put up with shit; you treat them bad, guess what... they can divorce you. They don't need the elders' permission or have someone tell them god will kill them at armageddon if they don't obey you like a beaten dog.

  Men I know outside the religion aren't perfect but they do step up, knowing their wives have choices or at least will give them hell if they don't get their act together.

  2) WT rules about sex don't excuse anyone being such an ass to your wife. If you're not happy at home, you discuss and work things out to a point you can both agree on and that respect both of you, or go your own separate ways. You don't demand the wife look the other way while you act like a selfish pig. No upbringing in the world excuses that.

  IMHO the WT definitely fed into Lloyd's immaturity and narcissism but sorry, he's a defective product on his own. The fact that he got away from WT's control and then, instead of becoming a better man, he became even more disgusting in his treatment of his wife and people in general shows that it's not WT's influence that makes him a horrid person. He's just horrid, period.
