So yeah, you cut exJWs some slack for some things and for a certain amount of time. Lots of people come out and immediately overdo it with drugs, parties, sex, holidays, shopping, whatever, making up for lost time.
But prostitutes? Repeatedly, into his 30s and 40s? Bullshit. By that point and to that extent, that's on him, not the JWs.
Add to that the fact that Lloyd was apparently never abused as a child in any way. Not physically, sexually, etc. Even ones who went through that crap somehow manage to pull themselves together more than him.
So yeah, I call bullshit. The man cannot take responsibility for one iota of his own conduct. He needs to justify it so he's not the bad guy in his own story. Ass hat.

This is one thing I thought about his Bible Story Book video with Jessica. There's a whole section on JW.org with illustrated bible stories, family worship ideas, etc. aimed toward children that are easily critiqued. But he's talking about that old book, just so he could turn it around to what he was told as a child and because babbling about his own thoughts and experiences means not having to do any work to look up new stuff. But his personal stories apply to fewer and fewer newly exJWs and anyone studying with them. He's pointless and pathetic.

My theory is that Lloyd didn't have this leaked to him before everyone else in the community and couldn't find someone of importance to interview about it before anyone else. So, since he couldn't twist it to make him look more important than anyone else, he dismissed it. This also gives him a chance to mock and ridicule those who are making a big deal out of it.
It's always all about Lloyd, no matter what. If it can't be used to amplify his platform and stroke his ego, it's unimportant. Plus everyone else is just a child, jumping up and down about things they shouldn't while he's the level-headed adult.

I don't think anyone was ever truly traumatized by that book. Have people not read traditional fairly stories, like Hansel and Gretel? They are freaky scary.
Trying to make out you have some kind of PTSD due to it is pure hyperbole.
The difference is that no one read their children Hansel and Gretel and used it as a threat of what would happen if you dared have a thought different than their religion. Lots of exJWs also talk about how upsetting it was to think that their god was going to destroy their school chums, extended family, etc. The Bible Story Book also was the first to expose children to the idea that it's your fault if you're raped, that your brother might kill you if he's jealous of something you've done, that demons might come down and have sex with you, etc. This was also a book that a lot of parents studied with their kids over and over even as they got older. I think it's shortsighted to brush it off as doing no more harm than scary fairy tales.

april 2023 is when he put out his "things are bad" tin cup begging video, and he got a small surge to 592 on the 13th of that month.
i'm also using his all-time peak of 897 from november 2022.. for march, we're gonna say a modest -15, putting him at 352. i'm also curious as to when he might hit 300 and then 200. if he keeps up with an average of -20 every month, he'll be at less than 190 before the end of this year.. happy guessing everyone..
I can't believe it's almost the end of the month already. Time flies when you're sliding down patreon mountain faster than a fat ass tripping over his own nose. He's also still at 366 today so the three he gained since the first of the month are now gone. Loser.

Looks like he didn't even brush their hair before putting them on. This is not an involved, caring father at all. Probably rolls them out of bed, throws some sugary cereal and cartoons in their face, and tunes out until it's time to use them to make a point.

He also went around claiming that copyright only applied to things sold for profit and had his ass handed to him over that, and doesn't seem to grasp that soliciting prostitutes is a crime even if some cult tampered with your sexuality, so he's not exactly the legal expert on anything.

I might mention the gay thing but only in the context of other people. Like, "You're not allowed to be gay in Jehovah's Witnesses. Not that they don't have a lot of gay people, they're just so far in the closet they share a zip code with Narnia..."
