I didn't take your advice and this is the result...
by MsGrowingGirl20 inrecently i told you all that i wanted to e-mail two friends some of the things i was struggling with in an effort to help them wake up or at least for them to understand me...97% of you all told me that it was a bad idea.

Capital punishment, are you in favour of it ?
by smiddy ini certainly am , providing their are strong arguments that the perpretrator of the crime is guilty beyond any reasonable doubt of the crime he/she is charged with .. i am not religous ,however i do agree with a life for a life principle ,especially if it involves multiple victims.
somebody killing x amount of people, proven of course , have no right to live.
of course with murders of one victim their can be many scenarios which the courts of law can adjudicate for whatever an outcome.

Better to live 100 criminals live than to kill one innocent.
Difficult question. What if the person repents?

Isn't it hypocritical for the Governing Body to feature a biochemist in Awake! magazine but at the same time condemn higher education?
by matt2414 inthe january awake!
has an entire article about a woman, a molecular biochemist, who became a witness, and yet the watchtower leaders condemn and blacklist any of their members who get a college education.
i couldn't stop thinking about this as i read the article.

You all miss the universal dogma:
The smartest get educated and discourage the rest so they can have willing slaves to serve them.

How much did you plagiarize your talks?
by puffthedragon inwhen i actually really cared, i was an awesome speaker.
i'm not bragging, i actually was terrified of giving talks for so long and all, but apparantly it came off pretty well.
when i was 20 years old, they were giving me parts that were supposed to be only for elders per the km.

It matters a lot who you present the material. Most dubs are uncapable. Oh my God, when sisters give to my wife her part to prepare, what a mess. I cannot even understand what they mean. And mind it. Even from sisters that have higher education. It is hell.

When You Were A JW Were You Disturbed By "Apostate" Literature or "Apostates" At Conventions?
by minimus ini was always curious about what they had to say.
(i guess i was an apostate in the making)..

I thought Satan was guiding them to use posters and sell their literature outside the convention. But I was puzzled when my dad didn't allow me to order Russel's volumes from Bible Students (We were walking around and I found one of their tracts.)

When you were a JW, Did you think Prayers did any good?
by tresdecu inthe missing 21 year old woman in oregon got me thinking...so many jws comment on her fb page 'praying for you'...'constant daily prayers' etc.
what is the point?
i know it is a natural human emotion, to want to contribute in some small way when something bad happens.

They might help if the criminal happens to read about them and has a tiny piece of humanism in him.

Question from Reader Watch Tower:fertilized eggs (embryos)
by frankiespeakin inbefore coming to a knowledge of the truth, my wife and i submitted to in vitro fertilization because of our desire to have a baby.
not all our fertilized eggs (embryos) were used; some were frozen and stored.
must they be retained, or may they be disposed of?http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20121215/view-of-in-vitro-fertilization/.

I agree that beeing a donor should be a d/f offence. Not for fornication though. It is cruel to sell your child and make it grow in a family that is not actually its real family.
