I was born a scouser. It would be strange to go back now after 54 years in Oz and see the now familiar carts and what the khs look like. I had never even heard of the jws until I came out here at 14. Just reminiscing sorry.

by pale.emperor injust approached a cart then with two jw girls holding out mags.
they continued chatting to each other about car insurance when i took the watchtower from one of their hands.. ok, so it looks like i'll have to get the ball rolling.
i asked if they were jehovahs witness.

I looked at the site. Surely people don't shop at sites like this or am I just getting old?

I met a 104 year old man today
by Bad_Wolf ini was at a mall trying on shoes and this old man is in a wheelchair near me.
says how he thought those shoes were sharp and he had never worn brown shoes before and that he is 104 years old.
i said no way and asked what year he was born.

An Indonesian man of 146 (claimed) died recently. He was shown alive on the news and looked more like 80 to 90. He also had a birth certificate showing 1870. If it is true that would mean there are many who saw 1914 still alive, but I doubt it.

On the Subject of Demons, I Have a Story to Tell.
by snugglebunny ini have posted the full story on a fb site.
so my apologies to anyone who's already read it.
some of what i've written is what was told to me by my father.

Fascinating... But how do YOU feel sb about what the medium told your father?
I am interested because my belief in Jwism was partly supported through my family experience with spiritualism as it is popularly known.

As an occasional "extreme foot in mouth" unsociable type I know that I have deeply offended some over the years. I can only hope that individuals at the hall that didn't really know me were moved to ponder over this Christian quality. Calling people from interstate Mexicans has led to ill feelings. One brother even apologised for not being a Queenslander, another became quite aggressive. This may seem childish to some but even small things like this show that we can make people realise that jws are just worldlies with an attitude as most definitely have their head in the clouds.

Some prayers really annoy me
by stillin ini realize that prayer is a really personal thing, but representing a group in prayer has become so full of cliche's that i just want to vomit sometimes.
co week almost every prayer has the phrase "special week of activity" in it.. then there's "please look after the sick and afflicted.".
not so much anymore, "please bless this food and the hands that prepared it.".

In my just left cong there is a newbee who obviously writes out and memorises his eloquent prayers. Obviously to impress and advance his career prospects in the org. However just as I realise this there would be many who also see this and take note of the fact that he left his common law wife (and child) to marry a spiritual in the truth sister. I wonder how it will turn out for him?

What is behind your choice of forum user name?
by stuckinarut2 injust curious how we all think.. what prompted or influenced your choice of username for this forum?.
there are some really amazing names, and it would be great to hear the stories behind them.... mine was nothing fancy.
i just felt "stuck in a rut too" along with so many others.

Perhaps a suitable time to make my first post. A somewhat reticent person, my name, amicabl, which I use all over the Internet is an abbreviated composite of my real name. I have decided to make my appearance here for two reasons. So that I may contribute something perhaps meaningful when I feel motivated to and so that I can lay down some clues for the watchtower IT KGB who I am convinced do monitor these sites looking for "apostates" for their masters. I hope they find me and I am interested to see how long it takes. My only concern at present is to free my loving wife of 45 years (another clue) from the wt madness. Although I may not know you personally I appreciate the advice and humour that I have found here and at other sites and I wish I had waken up a lot sooner. Thank You.
