  it was a cold winter evening i walked nervously towards the kingdom hall.

  it was a day "special", the judicial committee had to decide whether i deserved to remain in his "holy organization".

  many years of dedication to jehovah were not served at all ... in half an hour as it was obvious and predictable ... i was kicked out by the congregation did not need me most ... just like an old shoe.

  Scientologit and mormon apostates

  does anyone find it odd that it seems there's less of a vocal apostate movement for scientology and mormons.

  i'm getting this from google - i can't seem to find any majour forums like this one, or websites that are regularly updated exposing doctrines etc.. there is stuff out there, but from my search at least it doesn't seem to be as much as jw's.. strange considering mormons have 13 mill (?).

  So, Whats the real reason JWs are no concessions open at the DC and are discouraged from supporting nearby vendors?

  so ever since they discontinues the food service at the assemblies and dcs, jws have been "lovingly encouraged" to pack a light lunch to eat.

  the secretary at the hall that i am held hostage in said during the service meeting that even a sub would be too heavy to eat, and that a light salad was the best option.

  what do you fine people think is the real reason why, in the absence of food service, jws are told to not leave the building at lunch?

  The vendors where we used to have the DC's put so much pressure on the facilities owners that they kicked out the JW's once and for all. They refused to rent the building to the dubs and now we all have to drive to some shitty ass town 2 hours away from a major city in a much smaller facility. Total Losers I tells ya!

  Money 1st , and control.. but also it may have to do with not wanting the vendor's and/or their employee's hearing they're insane nonesense. To a "worldly" person, the blather from the stage would sound just a little bit too creepy.

  My JW best friend is bringing a 'heavy' around to my house to talk some sense into me.

  i agreed, if only because i want to see my friend of many years.

  the 'heavy' is a large, imposing man with a booming voice and is a creature of the gb through and thru (eg only visited his dfd dad on his death bed because it was a 'good witness' to the hospital staff) and i'm feeling stressed about seeing him.

  i so badly wanted to see my friend though, i agreed without thinking and now wish i hadn't have.
