  When it comes to things of a sexual nature, its going to be personal and somewhat invasive and uncomfortable because sex and sexuality is deeply personal, and some people will get offended and be put off, but the organization can’t worry about that.
  

  But keep in mind the target audience. This video is not for all jws — it is for those living at Bethel. So they withhold the right to determine what is tolerated/not tolerated there. So in all candor, there is no “freedom of speech”, sexual freedom, etc, at bethel.

  They set the standard.

  I am happy I saw the video (I actually skipped the parts where he talked because I wanted to understand the points in context without his usual spin and twisting)

  @ oppostate,

  What I am doing is scrutinizing the logical consistency of whats being said. Every religion relies on “born-ins” for its survival, to a greater or lesser degree. The Bible makes no bones about raising your kids in the faith from childhood, and certainly doesn’t advocate waiting till adulthood to expose them to the faith.

  So basically what I saying is “so what”?

  “Expose Watchtower” - after 25 years of being a JW, I now chuckle when I hear that.

  Humor me please - how long does it take for WT to be “exposed”?

  Can we go back 35 years ago, when Crisis of Conscious was published? How about in 1997, when many exjws were lauding the end of Watchtower when the internet became mainstream? How about all the hundreds of ex JW books, and thousands of websites since then? What is being “exposed” in 2018, that hasn’t been “exposed” decades ago? Child abuse? Go back to 2002. Shunning? Lol. Blood transfusions? That’s been known since the 60s.

  So basically all anti-JW websites read exactly the same and has been since I can remember, because they don’t expose anything, they simply recycle decades old arguments. Heck he even admitted, with his first book, that he’s going down a well trodden path.

  Nothing “accusatory” about my statements. It is absolutely corrupt to charge people 150 dollars to tell their story in your book so you can afford to feed your family and take all expense paid self-promotional world tours. And what do you get in return? A man too busy with his “activism” to reply to your messages. But he is available when you want to send him money or congratulate him. Lol

  But as was mentioned, these introduction videos are merely to help people adjust to living at bethel. There are going to be different rules or codes of cuduct when you’re under someone else’s roof. Just ask those who join the military, or those who live on college compus. Both have introductions on what life is like in their environment.

  What makes that transaction even more fraudulent is the fact the new book will have extremely limited appeal, as it will only interest those who’ve already “escaped” WT. Those forking over the 150 will be preaching to the choir. Pretty much every Jw knows how to “escape watchtower” — stop going to meetings, and if the elders visit, ignore them or tell them to leave you alone, or formally disassociate.

  So apparently, hes aiming to siphon every penny out of his loyal base.

  Lol - if anyone is “fraudulently” keeping the money coming in, it’s the guy charging you *coughs* Cedars *coughs* $150 to tell your story in his book in 300 words or less, instead of him paying YOU for your story, as standard practice has it.
