lol — it takes up to ten years for a lawyer to sue “guilty” people?

Of course, you can change the definition of “near future” when it suits you, but that is really a side point.

If he had evidence that they are (1) breaking the law, or (2) committing a crime then this future lawsuit would have long been initiated last year.

How long does it take to file a lawsuit against those who are allegedly dead to rights guilty of what they are accused of?

It certainly does take a time frame between a month and 10 years.

He needs to admit that he has nothing.

Some dates to keep in mind:

1997 - internet goes mainstream. Said to be the “death kneel” of the organization.

2002 - child abuse accusations hits the news. Supposedly the de facto death kneel.

2012 - Conti case - “the organization will not survive that!

2015 - ARC will do jws in.

4/19/18 — the Information Age will confirm those stories as true.

By the way, it’s been exactly 11 months and 10 days since Zalkin said the GB will be sued “individually and collectively”, in the “near future”.

I wonder how well those 1950 WT articles are working for him. Get him a copy of Russell’s books, that way he can prove the GB knew about child abuse for 100+ years but covered it up!

Semantics? lol. The gb legally separated from running the “WTS” in 2001, so calling them agents of “WTS” was legally wrong.

It’s not semantics for the IT department to say they are not part of the accounting department. You’re just a bit butt hurt that Zalkin was ignorant of how jws were structured and got schooled on it.

Point is, there is no such thing, and never was, that there are “1006” unreported abusers.

The ARC really didn’t do its homework.

The “WTS” (The legal entity) are a third party, getting second hand information. Local elders and/or the families of victims or the victims themselves either reported, or are under legal obligation to report, and did report.

Its a word game you like to play so to twist facts, trying to equate “WTS” with local elder(s).

Fact is, 99 percent of elders and jws have never been a member of “WTS”.

So while it’s beyond doubt that “WTS” did not report, that doesn’t mean local elders and victims did not report.

Nice try, though — I’ll give you a gold star for effort.

The ARC repeated lies. The most famous lie they repeated was the one they themselves debunked last March, that NONE of the 1006 were reported. In that March hearing, they said 492 were either reported or did not have sufficient evidence to warrant a report. So the ARC itself admitted it was lying for months, and then it admitted it did not report the entire 1006 to police (because it didn’t have to). Then it admitted that IT REFUSED TO REPORT accusations lacking evidence. LOL

How can a two week child safety “investigation” not uncover something as fundamental as several hundred abusers being reported to police, or not having sufficient evidence to warrant a report, until almost 8 months later?

These are questions thinking people ask themselves. The answer is obvious: 1006 sounds SO much better than 500 when you’re trying to smear an organization.

It also makes a nice, salacious news headline.

The idea that JW will call all accusations "lies" is really quite silly. What JWs do understand is that allegations are simply "allegations", no matter who reports them.

They also take into consideration that the organization takes a pretty hard stance AGAINST sexual immorality of all kinds. Child sex abuse IS a form of sexual immorality. Those involved, without stopping, are shunned. So knowing that, why would they stop at child abuse as if its any less of a violation? Answer: they wouldn't.

The fact is very simple: opposers have found an emotional guillotine. Shunning did stop people from joining. Not celebrating holidays didn't work. Shunning political involvement didn't scare people. So lets make up stuff about child abuse and run to the media with it. That WILL cause some outsiders to refuse to join, but it WILL NOT cause an exodus of any sort.

Knowing this, you accuse JWs of being "controlled". LOL.

How about this: You come with something that actually jibes with what JWs practice and teach. Running contrary to that only hurts your cause, long term.

the flemish parliament has opened an inquiry into the child abuse policies and cover ups of jehovah's witnesses.

the investigation is collecting complaints, not to make their stories public but to start an official investigation into the child abuse policies of jehovah's witness groups.

if you are a victim or have any stories regarding children of jehovah's witnesses in belgium having been or being abused or pedophiles being protected by the organization, send your stories to [email protected] - they will treat these stories confidentially and with utmost care, so even if you're still "in", you could send them a note..

Lol whenever someone claims an “inquiry” has been opened up, they usually or almost exclusively mean a reporter or newspaper that is collecting “stories” to publish, while not giving a damn if they’re true or not.

Governments typically do not frivolously open investigations on a whim, because investigators, lawyers, and officials have to be paid for their time, has it opens the process up for abuse.

Nothing to see here.

the guardian newspaper today reports that the iccsa has received “numerous” reports relating to child sexual abuse among jehovahs witness's, and it is possible they will establish an entirely separate inquiry into these reports.

the government set up the iccsa independnt inquiry into child sexual abuse some time ago and their has been a delay in the inquiry operating as thw role of chair s established.. typo in heading, sorry .

Zalkin cannot prove anyone kept anything quiet. He CANNOT. And even IF he could, not a single current sitting gb member was on the body in the 80s, so he cannot blame them.

The man is clueless, just like you are. He’s been pulling his hair out over the last nine months trying to figure out how Jehovah’s Witnesses are structured. Doesn’t know who to sue. He can’t sue the GB, because he has no evidence against them.

And the elders do not investigate crimes. They NEVER have. All they investigate is whether or not an accused person qualifies to remain a member.

Need more straw? Better yet, do you need a brain?
