They are hellbent in making a name for themselves at all cost....at the cost of all sensibleness and reasonableness.
That sums it up pretty well.
It's amusing how Sturgeon has gone quiet now though. Despite her rhetoric she doesn't want a second referendum as she can't afford to lose it and she can't afford to win it.

What is the liberal bubble?
It tends to be quite progressive, think of Fox News and it's the opposite of that.
It's still probably the best impartial source of news in the UK (if not the world).

Sorry - just skim read SBF's post and missed the biased bit.
I agree - The Beeb puts out brilliant stuff, both on TV and radio.

@sbf - don't know why someone has disliked your post - if it wasn't by accident then there's some strange people about.
a month ago i decided to register in this board.
i had decided to step down pioneering but was frightened about the consequences.
i had finished my university degree some months before (despite disaproval from brothers in my congregation) and i had to choose: continue pioneering and working in jobs with no future or starting a career, working full-time.. i was thinking to postpone the decisiton but... i was fed up with preaching.
If you don't want to be a MS anymore then the easiest way to do it is probably to just to become unreliable in your assignments, do less, refuse talks due to other commitments, illness etc (a new job will be very useful in this).
Don't worry about not being seen as in good standing - if your goal is to fade away then that will happen anyway. Just make sure you keep your mouth tight shut on any beliefs you may have and just blame commitments of work for your non attendance.
oh - and be careful how much identifiable info you put into on here!
Good luck!
barcelona (spain), jan 8, 2017 at 1.30 pm.
two publishers of the tagalog group in barcelona (public meeting at 4.30 pm) do visit an evangelical church barcelona downtown to receive free food bags.... i can confirm that the queue was long.
the pastor in charge of this church has not allowed me to take picture of some older jw living barcelona downtown, but i was able to catch these young publishers.
Yeah, it could even be argued that they do help others in need during natural disasters by rebuilding JW's homes,
I'm not even sure the extent to which they do that, I was always under the impression it was lip service and photo opportunities only.
The same arrogance that tells JWs they are correct in their beliefs also has a tendency to enable them to isolate themselves emotionally and show little empathy, even to fellow witnesses.
This isn't true for all witnesses - I'm sure there are caring elders and congregations but by and large my feeling is that's the exception, not the rule.

so my parents continue to pester me about getting baptized.
the other day my dad told me that i was old enough to make a decision, and was wondering why i wasn't ready (assembly is in a few weeks) so i told him calmly that i have many doubts and if i were to get baptized it has to be 100 percent my idea.
he was a little annoyed by this, and now wants to study the "is there a creator that cares about you" book (which is complete bs) with me.
I think you've got it about spot on - just take it easy and try not to make a big issue of it.
Good luck!
