Elders, oh my God what a bunch of losers!
by Crazyguy inok i don't mean to put all of them into just one box so to speak, their are some that are smart successful etc.
but my god most of them are just wasted space, ignorant, no drive, horrible jobs, make nothing for income and the only thing in life they have going for them is this title.
no wonder so many will not wake up and hold on to this stupid cult, it's all they have.

Do our loved pets come back when we do?
by Nichole ini have recently started studying and im really enjoying learning all about the truth!
i am a huge animal lover and have my dog trixie for 11 years now, i got her when i was 12 years old and she has been the best friend and companion, i am so lucky and grateful to have her at my side every single day!
i get worried a lot about what will happen when the time comes that she has to leave me, anytime i even think about it i start to cry because it would break my heart not to have her with me anymore!

Just another post to confirm that JW's believe that pets and animals won't be resurrected.
They take the opinion thst Jesus didn't die so tibbles could be saved.

I think that's probably a little unfair.
There's a fair percentage that like the sound of their own voice and love to lord it over the common publisher but there's (at least there used to be) a good number who are very sincere and are in it for what they believe are the right reasons.

by Phaedra ini remember going out with other jws after the memorial.. small gatherings.. picnics at some local landmark.. the feeling of closeness, camaraderie, friendship with like minded people you could trust.. haven't experienced it since i left.. really miss that..

Hi DJS,
Interesting that you agree with the JWs that worship of the state is a religion. I know several Marxists who would take issue with you on that.
However, out of curiosity, which country today do you consider most secular and atheist in which the population is the most happy?I think you can take it most western countries, with the exception of the US, are fairly atheist. The UK certainly is despite queenie being head of the c of e.

I think that the feeling of solidarity has to do with elitism
I think there's a lot of truth in that, especially amongst a subset of brothers. The witnesses do tend to attract people (elders) who like to lord it over others, be a big fish in a small pool and they do have a whiff of elitism around them. Not true of them all but from memory, definitely true of a significant proportion.

WT OCT 2015 - 3 Questions People Would Like to Ask God - how about you?
by ttdtt in1: where the "f" are you, since there are no signs of your existence?.
2: why did you "create" life forms that by default hate to follow what your rules.. 3:.
from what i read in the bible, why are you such a petulant, vengeful, bi-polar nut who seems to only look for flesh and spirit to kiss you enormous godly ass?.

Who created you?
The often overlooked question.
JW: look how wonderful and complex life is, it must have had a creator.
Normal person: so any complex lifeform must have had a creator?
JW: well, yes, of course.
Normal person: ok, so.....who created God then?

Watchtower crackdown on anointed expansion - are they reaching for a solution to the expanding numbers problem?
by slimboyfat inif this has been discussed i missed it.
i think the january study watchtower is a concerted attempt to reduce the numbers claiming to be anointed.
but i love the sneaky way they go about it this time.

So is the 144k not the fds any more? Is the fds just the GB?
Judging by the rate of increase all 144k should be back on the earth in another 25 years.

Slim - just come back to this but others have pretty much covered it.
If we look to sky fairies to explain what we don't understand then we will never try to explain it for ourselves. And that is a bad thing.
