Every word they say, Every move they make. ( I know it sounds like a Police song), is for the selfish benefit of that piece of crap organization. If they have an article about kindness, the goal is just to improve the image of the Watchtower. "Marry in the Lord"= Marry in the Watchtower. Why? It is all about trapping and indoctrinating even more the people in its grips. But the long range goal is procreation. Having children to indoctrinate them so that later, they can feed those useless piles of dog doo known as the gb. 💩 -

Do you still believe in God?
by FormerlySandL ini never thought i would admit it, but i don't.
i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.
as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

First off. I love that website! It isn't just "what people believed at the dawn of science". Many scientists feel the same way today. These scientists are "real scientists". Those early scientists would probably still believe in God, because now we know that we and the universe are incomprehendibly complex. Even Darwin was stumped by what he seen. He probably would not of even come up with such nonsense if he knew just how complex life is. You are a part of a much larger indoctrination. One of the biggest scams the world has ever seen.
"Quotations (such as have point and lack triteness) from the great old authors are an act of reverence on the part of the quoter, and a blessing to a public grown superficial and external."

lf evolution is true then doesnt it make sense that other life forms exist on far away planets.?
by atomant injust thought ld throw it out there for discussion.lf we evolved from nothing doesnt it stand to reason that other life forms also evolved from nothing?l mean lets face it time is infinite.
so given enough time its possible for anything to happen isnt it?

Atomant: I don't agree with you being simplistic or ignorant. The people on this forum can be asinine about technicalities that they have lost common sense and can't read between the lines. All you are really asking is, if abiogenesis AND evolution are true, then shouldn't it be common or at least happening in other parts of the universe?
The fact is some believe God started evolution. Some believe the universe always existed. Some think aliens planted life here. But most don't. So the assumption is to lump Both abiogenesis AND evolution together. But I knew what you were asking. You've got to understand this place is like walking on eggshells. Intelligence runs high here. Emotional IQ... Not so much.

Sorry Cofty. But I am in the company of the giants.
“As we conquer peak after peak we see in front of us regions full of interest and beauty, but we do not see our goal, we do not see the horizon; in the distance tower still higher peaks, which will yield to those who ascend them still wider prospects, and deepen the feeling, the truth of which is emphasized by every advance in science, that ‘Great are the Works of the Lord’.”

“The fanatical atheists are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who – in their grudge against traditional religion as the ‘opium of the masses’ – cannot hear the music of the spheres.”

Why Do Intelligent People Believe in God?
by cantleave inone of the most common thing thrown at atheists is - lots of intelligent people believe in god.
this darkmatter 2525's video is an excellent explanation as to why very logical people possess religious belief systems.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y201qzddzbg.

Salvatore: You are one of the intelligent ones. Of course we are not alone, and never have been.
..."I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene . . . . No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life. Jesus is too colossal for the pen of phrase-mongers, however artful. No man can dispose of Christianity with a bon mot.”

Atheist vs Believer. Has nothing to do with intelligence. Only perspective. There are only so many worldviews. We pick and choose. I personally agree with Darwin.
“The question of whether there exists a Creator and Ruler of the Universe has been answered in the affirmative by some of the highest intellects that have ever existed.”
–Charles Darwin, the founder of evolutionary biology, as cited in his book Descent of Man.

Romans: 1: 20. "For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are CLEARLY seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse."
"There are two books laid before us to study, to prevent our falling into error: first, the volume of the Scriptures, which reveal the will of God; then the volume of the Creatures, which express His power."
-Francis Bacon, Scientific Method
"Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system, I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. This did not happen by chance."

I most certainly do. But after leaving the Watchtower, I learned quickly that I never knew what real faith was. The Watchtower is a loud voice that screams day and night. Due to group dynamics, and the apparent "evidence" that they are God's people and we lived in the last days, it is easy to say you have faith in the Bible. But then after you are out, the Bible becomes this much quieter book that sits on a shelf that many choose to ignore. It only speaks when you take time to open it and meditate on it. I personally read everything I could get my hands on. Both pro and anti God. I wasn't afraid. But as the year went by, God was a constant voice that could not be ignored. I did not abandon him quickly, even though I read many things and had to test my faith. I would simply relax and read everything and allow his spirit to guide me. And what I found was truly amazing. All of my major questions were answered. I found a peace of mind that I never had with the Watchtower. Jesus said: John: 6. 44. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him." I began to see that this was something that I wasn't going to find proof of online. If we allow time, we experience the truthfulness of these words. But if we are not patient, and we expect God to give us this great sign, it is not going to happen. But it is the little things that we discern through his word that saves us. When I left the Watchtower, I was very depressed and alone. Did not know where or what to do. I knew I was losing all family and friends. But one evening, I opened my Bible and I ran into these verses. John: 9. 34. They answered him, "You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?" They threw him out. 35. Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of God?" 36. He answered, "Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?" 37. Jesus said to him, "You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you." These words touched me. This blind man was thrown out. Similar to my situation. But Jesus was aware of what happened. And he asked the question in verse 35. Those words were the beginning of my journey and I am now convinced that God is not far from each one of us. -

Just a simple question.
by Sabin indo you think it is easier for an elder to wake up to the wtbts because of the position he is in which gives him access to info that the rank & file would not be privy to, or do you think it would be harder for him to wake up because of all the prestige/power/admiration he receives as a result of being an elder, or does it come down to something else entirely?.

I was an elder for 14 years. I was removed for no given reason. But that is another story. As an elder, I don't know if I would have had time to think things through. That is why the Watchtower wants to keep you busy. But what happened next is what made me "weaker". I joined sign-language for four years. In that silent environment, I was getting "nudged" repeatedly. The arrogance of the sign-language group jumps out at you like a shark. Elders pioneering but not going in service. Just driving endless miles literally doing nothing yet attacking at any given moment. To make a long story short, being relieved of elders garbage, allowed me to run with the information I found against the Watchtower. I was out overnight. I was very shaken by it. However, my mind was now ripe to accept it. I believe if you are an elder heart and soul, it is hard to wake up. But if you are run down, tired, or doubted accepting this in the first place, it is easier to wake up.
