Yes was the very first concert that I ever saw as a teenage in 1979, and has always been one of my favorites. Do they still have the revolving circular stage?

No, they stopped using that circle after a few tours. Ahhh 1979. That would have been the end of the Tormato tour I believe. I also saw that tour.

I would go see them again if they return to my area. A show I will never forget.

They are still stupendous after all these years. I would. What major city are you near? Maybe I could find out for you.

I exchanged all my vinyl for CD's. One of my favs was Tales From Topographic Oceans. Four 20 minute tunes on two albums!

First, it WASN'T "Jehovah" that guided Abraham through the above ILLUSTRATION or IMAGE and LIKENESS of a pivotal HEAVENLY EVENT. It was YHWH. This recorded physical event let's us see a heavenly reality.

Thought: In order for Jesus Christ to be transferred from heaven to earth, something had to happen to make it a reality. His life in HEAVEN had to CEASE TO EXIST. That's where Father came in. Abraham and Issac on earth are an image and likeness of Father and Son in heaven. The only difference in heaven was it went all the way through to death.

YES. Father took the life of Jesus in heaven. It HAD to happen. In order for that life to be transferred onto earth.

Father was the first to take a life.

Pom, I am sorry for all the pain you have experienced. I hope that coming to this board has helped.

Well, though I have personally experienced the woes of this man made FARCE, my reason was more for others to see that even the "name" is WRONG AND A LIE. That is the first domino that needs to fall down. You know what happens after the first one goes down,,,,

As for God, Jehovah, Yahweh, (Yahweh just seems to fit better to me.......the name Jehovah does not retain the four Hebrew letters YHWH, and I know what the WTS explanation* is, but I don't totally buy into it) even when I was very busy as a jw, I never had a close relationship with Him.

Personally, I have come to a very simple conclusion. The pronounciation of the name was dissolved INTENTIONALLY by God. I have many reasons for thinking that. One of them is a logical reason, this: IF the Bible truly is by God, and this God is the most powerful being in existence, and HIS LABEL was the most cherished thing to Him, does it make sense that a SUPPOSED man made Jewish superstition/tradition would OVER POWER God and CORRUPT that which is supposedly incorruptable, the "NAME" of God? No it does not, NOT AT ALL. So I do not believe that LYING fabrication of why YHWH has become un-utterable.

Scholars, "Yeah, the Jews made it vanish because of their tradition." Yeah right. And pomegranate's don't have lots of seeds.

Also, IF you believe the Bible to be God's, the most important BIBLICAL reason that the OT name would have become INTENTIONALLY dissolved and obscured by God would be because of this:

Acts 4:10-12
It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is "'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.'

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

The label in the Old Testament HAD to be dissolved in order for the above to become TRUE and so that NO OTHER "NAME" would get in the way of this name, Jesus Christ. That would include YHWH.

That does not necessarily mean that I don't "love" God, but honestly, I would prefer to love my fellow man, and then let that stand as a indication of my love for God. Too often, people claim love for God, and then treat their neighbor poorly (1 John 4:20).

That is a very reasonable re-start. jack2 my friend, with me, it's come down to this. If God wants ANYONE, he takes them for His own WITHOUT their permission, and He will use them anyway HE DARN WELL PLEASES.

What's odd is that MOST people feel that this is a violation of their free will. Well, they're DARN WELL RIGHT! Because I believe when it comes to God's will, man HAS no will. The being who has the power over life and death is the one with FREEWILL.

There are two very good examples in the Bible where God BARGED IN and MADE MEN do what HE wanted. One guy fought it, the other guy accepted AND LOVED IT. (See Jonah and Paul.)

The biggest scam that man has been forced to swallow. I gag on that name. I HATE that name. There are not enough negative words in my vocabulary to relate the disdain I have for that NAME that HAS CAUSED SO MANY SO MUCH MISERY AND PAIN.

i am born in the truth.now i am 40 years old and have thrown all my wt literature in the trash can.i am ashamed that i have been in the watchtower orginazation and in my prayer to jehovah i have said that i only belong to him.

Putting the man made traditional WORD "Jehovah" in ANY Bible is a perversion beyond perversions.

NWT = perversion beyond ANY Bible translation out there. "Jehovah" is a disgusting thing by all
angles of what Christ taught. Have you caught sight of a disgusting thing that CAUSES desolation?

I believe I have, and it's named "Jehovah."

Man made traditions will be trashed. "Jehovah" is a man made tradition that has POLLUTED the NWT.

That in itself makes the NWT worthy of the fire.

"Jehovah" is right up there with the rest of the traditional false gods, like Baal.

Baal = god of sexual perversion. That's exactly what I see in the name "Jehovah" now.

Jehovah the god of child molestors. Let's see the power of Jehovah remove this BIG FAT SPOT OFF HIMSELF.

Don't forget, false gods are powerless. You can be sure the spot will remain and grow bigger.

The development and usage of the word "Jehovah" came DIRECTLY from Catholicism:

A piece of Watchtower literature states some embarrassing information about the word Jehovah, and elaborates as to its totally Catholic origin from the year 1270:

"By combining the vowel signs of 'Adhonay and 'Elohim' with the four consonants of the Tetragrammaton the pronunciations Yewah' and Yehowih' were formed. The first of these provided the basis for the Latinized form "Jehovah." The first recorded use of this form dates from the thirteenth century by C.E. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican Order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270. Hebrew scholars generally favor "Yahweh" as the most likely pronunciation." (Aid to Bible Understanding, Watchtower Bible And Tract Society, 1971, pp. 884, 885)

Why have the Jehovah's Witnesses adopted this inappropriate word as God's TRUE name?

Again, from their own literature:

"While inclining to view the pronunciation "Yahweh" as the more correct way, we have retained the form "Jehovah" because of people's familiarity with it since the 14th century. (The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures, Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 1969, pp. 18,19.)

The Witnesses by their very own literature have openly admitted that the word "Jehovah", which they have accepted and taught as God's TRUE name, is in fact a MAN MADE TRADITION developed and nurtured out of the bowels of Catholicism. By their very own words, they have chosen to accept this word as God's name because of people's familiarity of the TRADITION since the 14th century and NOT because it is the truth.

That is a HUGE mistake.

Jesus was ALWAYS condemnatory of individuals that taught the traditions of men as if they were of God's origin. That is a simple basic Bible truth, which is being ignored in whole by Jehovah's Witnesses.

The above is truth. Jehovah being God's name is a BLATANT LIE.

"Jehovah" was never God's name.
