i'm quite new to this forum (only a handful of posts).

but from what i've read up to now, it seems apparent that some of you have abandoned your belief in a god.

is this because of trauma brought about by the jw religion?

the watchtower says that judas iscariot left the lord's evening meal (memorial) before jesus instituted the new covenant and passed the wine and bread.. what does the bible say?:.

luke 22:13: they went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the passover.

she is 119 in people years, i guess it's to be expected that she go sometime, but still it sucks!

Since Jesus chose and hand picked his Apostles HIMSELF when on earth, surely he would STILL be the one choosing them from heaven when deciding who to fill Judas's place, right? I would think so.

Afterall, Father handed ALL AUTHORITY over to Christ. I would think ALL AUTHORITY means ALL AUTHORITY, including choosing the Apostles.

"Jehovah" is a defilement all by itself.

Even more so when it is put in a place where it ought not to be...In Jesus place.

The NWT is VERY inaccurate in regards to what is true in the Greek texts.

ALL AUTHORITY and ALL POWER = ALMIGHTY

Could that be what Father gave Jesus?? PERMISSION to be Almighty in His place? I believe that to be so.

Yo Frank...I appreciate many of the viewpoints you have and the eloquent way you express yourself, matter of fact, we agree on some things as I have noted.

But the above I believe is a mistatement. Jesus teachings were in fact a double-edged sword weren't they?

For instance, the two roads. Wheat and the weeds. Comparing his return to Noah and Lot's day. Any much much more...I was wondering why you sidestep Christ's bitter teachings? They were part of his message too. How do you reconcile Christ's teachings of good and bad?

Regarding God's justice, I don't believe it is infinite nor does it have to be, I do believe it is perfect and it has to be.

I believe God's mercy would be infinite, but not global, He administers it where He desires to.

Frank, give me your view/definition on justice and what it means in relation to God...would you?

First and the Last of Rev 1:17 - why in caps?

referring to the excellent "kitchen" witness scene in gregbetre's thread regarding jw's denying the deity of the christ, i do have one question..... .

rev 1:8; 17-18; 22:13 states that jesus christ is the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, and the beginning and the end.

i don't think it is true that all jw's will say that rev 1:17 refers to jehovah.
