It still boggles my mind that no-where in that reply does he think to offer a denial.
The best part is Lloyd chose Alien Encounters' message to put on screen. Instead of saying that's a lie he said, "Seriously Alien Encounters f**k you. Seriously. You were grooming a 14 year-old. Whot? Whot?"
Although not an admission, it wasn't a denial either.

Thanks Lee Marsh. Covering why this happens matters very much. I keep thinking this is a learned behavior based on childhood trauma. As soon as this story broke, it has bothered me as to why Chessa would allow this to happen based on her outspokenness. Was it all for show? Was it overcompensating? There is so much sadness to unpack in this.

Not to find any excuse for anything, but Chessa Manion doesn't look herself... She looks ill, like she lost it!
When I first saw a posting on Twitter from a trusted JW source that said, "and I worked with this woman." I couldn't figure out what she meant as I couldn't recognize Chessa. You're right, this is not what a healthy 32 year-old woman looks like.

Amazing that in front of Dr. James Penton he can recognize morals, but will scream down and weaponize his audience if anybody dares to point out that hiring illegal and unregulated prostitutes while pretending to care about the sexually abused is not a moral thing to do.
Plus it’s entirely typical of the man, during interviews with people far more interesting than himself, he nevertheless dominates the conversation with his own inane ramblings.
Yes, this is very true! Dr. James Penton is a very accomplished and interesting man with a deep understanding of how Watchtower worked when he was a member. Unlike Lloyd's self-indulging books, Dr. Penton's are educational. To dominate the conversation like Lloyd did was a disservice to Dr. Penton and Lloyd's audience.
