  Simple Question Re 1914

  wt claims that satan was thrown out of heaven in october 1914 precipitating ww!

  and the end times.

  a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

  what all these bible readers miss is, that Jesus was already in his kingdom in the first century. Colossians 1:13, an colossal oversight.

  Then I the question becomes, does Jesus rule for 1000 years or does he rule for eternity? According to Watchtower, he rules for 1000 years and then hands the kingdom back over to Jehovah. According to just about all other Christians, Jesus simply is God and King.

  Personally I don't take much of the bible literally, so the 1000 years could be a metaphor that does not translate in modern language.

  How is the 'Cost of Living Crisis' affecting you?

  here in the uk we've recently had the price cap on household energy bills raised by around £800 and there'll be another similar raise this autumn.. food prices are up, petrol is around £1.82 per litre - that's $10.37 per gallon for our american friends - and inflation is currently running at 9%.

  business are being hit as ordinary folk prioritise their spending.

  young folks are effectively priced out of the housing market and wage rises are not keeping pace.. mrs nic' and i are fortunate in that we're both in secure employment and with the kids moved out and mortgage paid off our outgoings are thankfully low.

  In other words, if you're trying to avoid Trump 2.0, this is the worst possible way to do it.

  Thing are getting so crazy for me, that I just bought a 125cc motorcycle for commuting. I had to take a loan to finish paying for the roof my house needs that I spent the last 2 years saving for. If I keep waiting the price will go up faster than I can save. The frustration is real.

  Let's pretend Watchtower has some of this correct. Jesus dies and after a few days of proving to his followers he is alive, returns to Heaven. Jesus then spends the next 1881 years preparing a place for his followers to join him while Satan is hanging around. Why would that be allowed to happen? Is the eviction process in Heaven that time consuming?

  Maybe Lloyd Evans is treating his patrons like a golf score. The lower the number the better he does. I hope he keeps ignoring the promises he made to his higher tier patrons and they lose interest in supporting him too. Canceling promised Zoom meetings is not smart business.

  Both messages mentions an apology. I thought Lloyd said to Andrew God the more you give them out, the less value apologies have.

  I suspect Lloyd was a real zealot as a young JW and still would be except they kicked him out. So, not being the kind of person to just go away, he went away mad and turned his energy toward "getting even" with the group that rejected him.

  If Lloyd Evans has shown us anything, he will never be the type to just go away. With hiring his fake lawyer, and pretending to bring a lawsuit against seven people, he is doing all he can to get even with us. For all I know his hiring of prostitutes or even saying he is an atheist could be some form of getting even.

  Welcome. Isn't it great when your wife and most of the JW family follow you out?

  Still a Bible believer but I go to many backgrounds for study in my personal faith such as atheists and Torah followers to name a couple.

  It is good to get a perspective from many places. It is far better than Watchtower's "our way or else" approach.
