It’s too bad the CSA survivors can’t launch some kind of “class action gag order” against Evans pretending to represent them. If they were officially embodied into a “class”, maybe it could be done.

i know this subject has been talked about lots over the years, just thought i would share a recent finding from canada.. while visiting with a group of friends, an elder (don’t recall how the subject came up) mentioned the local body had voted to allow brothers with beards be allowed to give talks from the platform.
(it was a very close vote).
the direction given was for each congregation to decide for themselves if that is now acceptable.. so some congregations will be for, and for many it will not.. it’ll probably be a long time before we see any pictures on the watchtower where they’re allowing this though..
There can't be that many men left and if there is a few that would otherwise be on stage giving a part if it were not for the beard, then good for them. If they had bothered to look at Watchtower's past, it is only because Rutherford didn't want people thinking too much about Russell.

Croatia might be a very beautiful place to visit, but the legal system they have looks to be a mess. Lloyd Evans can keep it. He is going to need all the luck in the world along with some extremely powerful political connections to make any legal remedy work. I can't imagine any scenario where the US State Dept. would agree to extradite a US citizen to Croatia for "the crime of insult" because Lloyd's feelings got hurt. I am sure the same can be said for UK, Australia, and hopefully Netherlands. I still hope Karlo Novosel's legal fees and the looming divorce bankrupts Lloyd.

this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.
i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.
Many JW related business outright rely on "affinity fraud" or take advantage of the good will of local KH members, so his company profitability may have relied on not paying the going rate and getting cheap labor.
On a side note, I knew of an elder who ran a HVAC and electric company. He would employ young men from nearby congregations and in one case talked a teenager into quitting school to go full-time in his business. He paid them less so he could underbid his competition because they were trainees. Once they were fully certified he would then encourage them to find employment elsewhere. One day he just up and shut down the business due to a nervous breakdown. He was one of the few elders that I believe meant well, so maybe his conscience got to bothering him. He asked to be deleted as an elder and moved away not long thereafter.

As to why Paul Grundy claimed that Lloyd could have made more in other businesses, I don’t think it requires that he either knew Lloyd well or was making a guess. Another possibility is that Lloyd boasted to him in those exact terms and Paul simply believed what he said.
Could it be part of a sales technique? For instance, Lloyd could have made more money doing ______, but he made the sacrifice of being a full-time critic of Watchtower instead. So we must support Lloyd's "work" because he is giving up so much more by being a anti-Watchtower vlogger.

How can anybody live in a country for over a decade and not have a better grasp on the language? I realize many people over there already speak English which would make his life easier, but to never learn when you don't have a regular hours type of job is pure laziness.
As for the rest of this thread, LOL. This didn't age well. However if we could see into the future, many things would be much different. I know I have many mistakes I would love to reverse.

Lloyd is behaving like a good ol jw elder. He has arranged a judicial commitee, has notified the brothers about it and vaguely told them what is it about. But has completely avoided any detail.
Like a jw committee meeting, Lloyd would like for there to just be a verdict with no trial.
It is very interesting to see. Lloyd Evans claims a crime was committed, but will not go into specifics as to what crime. He "invites" 12 people to pay him money to resolve their "crime" and I assume all would be forgiven once the payment was made. He then says he has sued 7 of those 12. None of the other 5 have made payments have they? I know for a fact that 3 of those 5 have not paid Lloyd money. Would Lloyd have given the money back had they paid and he realized they had not committed a "crime" against him? I doubt it. But the evidence is he decided 5 people must not be guilty as he dropped them from his ongoing "criminal lawsuit."

Yes, to varying degrees, we have seen all of those behaviors the Mayo Clinic listed from Lloyd Evans.
I have been thinking about something Lloyd wrote regarding his mother. He basically said that the criticism regarding his marriage, prostitutes and how he conducted his business this year has been worse on him than his mother dying of cancer. It would appear that he would much rather his mother be dead than endure criticism from his own actions. So much for the family man image.
