I'm saddened that Mark O'donnell isn't "with us" on this. I've truly admired his brilliant legal mind and memory for detail.

Mark O'Donnell is a bit of an enigma. The warning signs regarding Lloyd Evans/John Cedars were there for years, but he ignored them. He never gave me a good reason why. All he could tell me was Lloyd had a big audience and Mark took advantage of that audience. I wish Mark all the best and I admire what he does, but I do not fully trust him and don't suggest that anybody else should either. Maybe it is because I am suspicious of anybody with that "elder" mentality.

Sorry, but you don't get to decide what I talk about. When I see an online bully pretend to give a damn about the sexually abused while using prostitutes that were likely trafficked which is an activity that is illegal in the places Lloyd Evans has been, it will be a topic for conversation. When this same bully insists on suing 7 people for discussing this topic, I will not be silent. BESIDES, LLOYD EVANS IS A EX-JW TOPIC. Kind regards

Maybe we can make Jan 31st Kim Silvio Day. An annual celebration of Lloyd Evans doing his drunken livestream confession where he confirmed Kim accused him of seeking prostitutes frequently. Yes, he said he used prostitutes for the past 3 or 4 years with a frequency every 2 or 3 months (which sounds rather frequently) and also implied that he is incapable of controlling his body because of Watchtower.

Speaking of blaming Watchtower for messing him up, wouldn't that be a good reason to abandon the channel and seek help? If it wasn't for Lloyd Evans being a bully, I wouldn't even be posting on this forum any longer. How long has it been since I have posted on here? Over a decade at least.

It’s too bad the CSA survivors can’t launch some kind of “class action gag order” against Evans pretending to represent them. If they were officially embodied into a “class”, maybe it could be done.

That would be nice. It would probably be difficult to do.

Beards- just told by an elder

i know this subject has been talked about lots over the years, just thought i would share a recent finding from canada.. while visiting with a group of friends, an elder (don’t recall how the subject came up) mentioned the local body had voted to allow brothers with beards be allowed to give talks from the platform.

(it was a very close vote).

the direction given was for each congregation to decide for themselves if that is now acceptable.. so some congregations will be for, and for many it will not.. it’ll probably be a long time before we see any pictures on the watchtower where they’re allowing this though..

There can't be that many men left and if there is a few that would otherwise be on stage giving a part if it were not for the beard, then good for them. If they had bothered to look at Watchtower's past, it is only because Rutherford didn't want people thinking too much about Russell.

Croatia might be a very beautiful place to visit, but the legal system they have looks to be a mess. Lloyd Evans can keep it. He is going to need all the luck in the world along with some extremely powerful political connections to make any legal remedy work. I can't imagine any scenario where the US State Dept. would agree to extradite a US citizen to Croatia for "the crime of insult" because Lloyd's feelings got hurt. I am sure the same can be said for UK, Australia, and hopefully Netherlands. I still hope Karlo Novosel's legal fees and the looming divorce bankrupts Lloyd.

i see there has already been discussion over lloyd’s new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.

this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.

i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.

Many JW related business outright rely on "affinity fraud" or take advantage of the good will of local KH members, so his company profitability may have relied on not paying the going rate and getting cheap labor.

On a side note, I knew of an elder who ran a HVAC and electric company. He would employ young men from nearby congregations and in one case talked a teenager into quitting school to go full-time in his business. He paid them less so he could underbid his competition because they were trainees. Once they were fully certified he would then encourage them to find employment elsewhere. One day he just up and shut down the business due to a nervous breakdown. He was one of the few elders that I believe meant well, so maybe his conscience got to bothering him. He asked to be deleted as an elder and moved away not long thereafter.

As to why Paul Grundy claimed that Lloyd could have made more in other businesses, I don’t think it requires that he either knew Lloyd well or was making a guess. Another possibility is that Lloyd boasted to him in those exact terms and Paul simply believed what he said.

Could it be part of a sales technique? For instance, Lloyd could have made more money doing ______, but he made the sacrifice of being a full-time critic of Watchtower instead. So we must support Lloyd's "work" because he is giving up so much more by being a anti-Watchtower vlogger.
