  We can’t have too large a car party which means only a few in each car

  What difference would that make? If one person is sick and they are in a car group of 4, then the other 3 have been exposed. All 4 will have interacted with everybody else at some point. Makes as much sense as grocery aisles being one way.

  i was in bethel for years early 2000s and was heavily involved with brd from start to finish .

  im current elder in one of the congregations in london.

  what i’ve noticed is huge changes since covid .

  Welcome Mike. I left Watchtower long before you went to Bethel. My thoughts are that Covid changed everything for the JWs. Taking a break from the constant busy-work of meetings gave people time to think on their own. That is very dangerous for a high control group like Watchtower. Now that we are in a "post-Covid" world, people are seeing that it was not part of the Last Days like the GB (Stephen Lett and Tony Morris) said it would be. Although that was speculation and not really a prophecy, it didn't age well. Just another failed prediction from "God's spokespeople."

  I predict Watchtower will have a hard time weaning people off of Zoom. There will be zealous elders telling people that if you are on Zoom instead of at the Kingdom Hall that you are lacking faith in Jehovah. They'll make frequent use of Hebrews 10:25 to force people back to meetings. "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near."

  Toblerone, we know that picture has to be fake as there is no way Lloyd's gut is that small.

  Mikejw, the place Lloyd used in London was just an address Lloyd stayed at years earlier. He used the address to try and register for the speed dating. He wasn't actually renting there.

  I am confused as to where Lloyd is living these days. Didn't he go on holiday with the family? Didn't Dijana film a video for Lloyd? Has Lloyd convinced Dijana that he can be both a family man and have a bachelor pad on the side?

  Resuming door to door September 1st

  gb worried about not enough coming to in person meetings.

  what are they going to be like when they realise not only jdubs don’t want to go to in person meetings but they really don’t want to go back on the min.

  zoom has so much more appeal for rather than meetings or door to door.

  That's an interesting thought. It could turn into a loyalty test. I can see some of the self-righteous elders pulling this stunt. Why are you on Zoom? Don't you trust Jehovah?   Booster shots required for Bethelites and special full time servants?

  it’s a shame the gov body did a big u turn on vaccines .

  if they continue with the rule that only fully vaxed can go back to the hall then i could have stayed on zoom.

  but the term fully vaxed is a moving target, if it’s been like six months since your last shot you are just the same as those of us who are unvaxed .

  The second of the original Pfizer shots made me so sick that it too a full 6 months or more for me to get over the fatigue. Then about that time, I qualified for a booster. No thanks, I am not getting another covid shot just like I stopped getting flu shots years ago.

  If the first shots can't get the job done, no shot ever will.

  but it was funny when the brothers needed money they would come with their hands out.

  this is when we lived in the states.

  we got the inevitable letter today.. meet, associate and "encourage" in person unless sick or infirm.

  also dress up for zoom if you must use it.

  locally over half are on zoom, 3/4 no picture.

  "Let's just do your Shepherding Call on the phone while we're talking" was my reply.

  That is an outstanding answer. One would think if the message is so life-saving, then it shouldn't matter where or how it takes place either in person, on the phone, or by Zoom. It also shouldn't matter how you are dressed since Watchtower loves to make that an issue.
