As prophesied by Isaiah, how do the other sheep walk behind the anointed slave class and serve as “unpaid laborers”?
14 The humble submission of the other sheep to the anointed members of spiritual Israel was foretold in the prophecy of Isaiah: “This is what Jehovah has said: ‘The unpaid laborers of Egypt and the merchants of Ethiopia and the Sabeans, tall men, will themselves come over even to you, and yours they will become. Behind you they will walk; in fetters they will come over, and to you they will bow down. To you they will pray, saying, “Indeed God is in union with you, and there is no one else; there is no other God.”’” (Isaiah 45:14) Symbolically, the other sheep today walk behind the anointed slave class and its Governing Body, following their leadership. As “unpaid laborers,” the other sheep willingly expend their physical strength and their resources in support of the worldwide preaching work that Christ assigned to his anointed followers on earth.—Acts 1:8; Revelation 12:17.
Interestingly, the revised NWT changed this scripture. Isaiah 45:14
14 This is what Jehovah says: “The profit* of Egypt and the merchandise* of E·thi·oʹpi·a and the Sa·beʹans, tall of stature, Will come over to you and become yours. They will walk behind you in chains. They will come over and bow down to you.+ To you they will say in prayer, ‘Surely God is with you,+ And there is no one else; there is no other God.’”
Footnotes: Or possibly, “laborers.” Or possibly, “merchants.”
Changed from "unpaid laborers"(in other words, slaves) to "profit*" "possibly, laborers." -

Christian Loosers And Misery
Its truly a misery being there listening to that new meeting...it's boring. It seems longer than the old meeting, I just sit there surfing the Web on my iPad or reading posts here and I also text my husband next to me saying how it sucks being there with sleeping emojis...lol

I hope A JW win Powerball
by ShirleyW inif so, they probably won't come forward for a while, then when they do, they'll probably be dragged into the back room for a talk about how the dubs don't gamble, then the winner says he'll donate some, and of course all will be forgiven, then the dub may finally see the hypocrisy of the cult and denounce them on national tv as they hold up that big giant check for all to see!

Welcome Doubtfully Yours
Your not the only one feeling this way, my Hubby and I feel trapped because all our family is in unfortunately and we truly do love them and just thinking of the idea of loosing them hurts, but the idea of faking being a jdub and do jw things just makes me mad it just frustrates me, I truly don't want to be in this religion because I don't like being a hypocrite. But like you said we have to make best of this incarceration for the sake of not loosing our Fam even do it makes life not how you would wish. But my best wishes for you and welcome once again you will truly feel comfortable here were ppl do care about one another.

by MrsR-Awaken inthis is my first post here (not being comments) but i still have to tell my story but for that i need to get my mind together in other to give as much detail as possible to be able to share it.

@Darkknight757
Thats not a bad idea that pamphlet sure is interesting but then again I tell my husband I hate service let's just stay like regular people and sleep in and I'll get up make us some pancakes with eggs and bacon and just enjoy Saturday, who gets up early to get dressed and start bothering people at their doors (Jdubs do)...I DREAD that so much. Hopefully the day will come when my husband and I will be able to enjoy a weekend like any regular person.

He was saying what we had to present and he went over the Watchtower magazine. And he said "before you even try saying something try to smile to the house holder and say hi" then he says that after that we aren't gonna shove the mag in his face or start saying "look at this bible text" we have to compliment the house be friendly as possible and prepare the householders "heart" ooohh boy but here comes the part that made me loose it. He says that just like a patient is gonna have heart surgery he is injected with anesthesia to prepare him for surgery we got to do the same to the householder so he/she can hear what we got to say....I was like really what kind of illustration is that??? Wow well that makes sense since anesthesia totally dumbs the person down so we can give the householder all this jw crap in and start the brainwashing going....
I couldn't wait to share this here
these C.O's are nuts and plain crazy😑

Reasons for NOT Returning
by Saved_JW ini left the watchtower in the winter of 2008. my first year out was by far the most difficult.
i had every intention of returning to the watchtower for the very purpose of being able to speak with my friends and family.
i had already concluded that the teachings were not the "truth" [after reading crisis of conscience] so coming back was more emotional then anything.

*If you think about it. Being in the Watchtower is a lot like being an actor.
*Watchtower is masterful at using a mechanism of fear to control and manipulate people into conformity. They do this by social peer pressure.
* The result is a social standard in the JW community governed by fear, not freedom of expression.
This is exactly how I'm feeling right now and I completely agree with the fact that people inside the org are being manipulated by fear. So because of that you end up "acting" or being an "Actor" for the fear of loosing your family and loved ones socially. Also humans have the natural need of being accepted and in the organization sometimes you pretend to act all spiritual to be accepted..because once again we fear of being shunned, that's manipulation to me. Now that's what I'm going trough right now... I completely want out of this religion I don't want to be part of it but loosing my family and my husband family really bothers me and makes me really sad, he feels the same way I do. We feel trapped and we want to Fade away..... anyway this post is just 100% true. Thanks for posting
I had to let this out.
